The Vapour-rise Guide Pant is a winter weight softshell pant that really works! Weather protection and supreme breathability using fabric technology originally devised by Rab Carrington himself.

The durable Pertex Equilibrium and double weave softshell outer fabric combined with a standard weight Vapour-rise fleece lining creates a pant that balances weather protection, warmth and maximum breathability.

With high water repellency, fantastic levels of breathability, 2 hand warmer pockets, half leg side zips, zipped leg vents, a part-elasticated waistband with beltloops and brace attachment points, the Vapour Rise Guide pants are ready for anything.

An ideal pant for UK winter mountain conditions but would also make a fantastic pant for use at altitude or on polar trips where high levels of breathability are essential.

Fabulous pair of winter trousers!
Reviewed By Amy, 08 Jan 2014

I absolutely love these trousers! Now, it should be noted I am female and the "mens" small's fit me much better than any of the female trousers. I love them a lot! They are stylish, a skinny but comfortable fit, hard wearing, windproof and highly water resistant. I got caught a few times in this years #UKSTORM and did not have to worry about putting on waterproof trousers at all!

Another thing I love about these trousers is the very funny and convenient fly zip! It did make me giggle when I realised... it appears that Rab have provided a double ended fly zip, so men can, you know.. whack it out for a wee and not get a cold bum! Or the ladies, we can just grab our shewee ;) A lot less awkward than being spotted squatting!!!

The trousers have a fleecey/ thermal lining which is brilliant for the winter weather. However, if it gets a little too warm they have brilliant ventilation zips you can open to get some air. They have tightening at the bottom of the leg too if you prefer a skinny fit as opposed to boot leg, and they also have crampon compatible holes!

Overall, these are a fab pair of trousers for the winter months. Highly recommend spending the money on them, it will an investment that you will never regret. I promise!

Perfect winter/cold weather trousers
Reviewed By matt, 24 Dec 2013

These trousers really show what they were worth this weekend, I used them in the Snowdonia area and conditions were interesting to say the least, extremely wind, severe wind chill (temperature including wind chill was around minus 10) and heavy rain/hail/snow showers. The DWR was fantastic which meant that in all but the worst of the showers I didn't have to stop to put on over trousers meaning that I could keep my temperature regulated without having to stop every time it rained. My legs felt comfortable and warm over the entire weekend, the material kept the wind chill out and the lining meant that I didn't have to wear a thermal base layer on my legs but still remained comfortable. I would say that if temperatures were higher than single figures and there was no significant wind chill these trousers would be too warm but from late autumn to early spring I would whole heartily recommend these for UK use Edited for spelling mistakes sorry tried to type the review up on my phone
