Easy to use in the field - especially to record a trip, mark waypoints etc.
Good value for money.
Perfect size for your hand and to fit in a pocket.
Handles landsat imagery and ordinary maps very well...but remeber you may have to pay extra for these.
Planning routes using the Garmin Software on your PC could be a lot easier.
If you can afford to stretch to the Montana and want to use the device as a substitute for a map when out and about (please remember not to rely on a single piece of equipment...take that old fashioned map just in case!) then do so...it has a substantially larger screen and weighs virtually the same.
