Rab

Mens Momentum Jacket

The Momentum Jacket is a fully waterproof alpine mountain jacket made from lightweight 3 Layer eVent fabric. The culmination of Rab's years of making shell jackets for high level alpinists - forever asking for ever lighter equipment - the Momentum is a climbers' shell designed for climbers making ascents in the pure alpine style. The Momentum features napoleon pockets that are large and easy to access while climbing, a helmet compatible hood with great movement and visibility along with easy adjustability, water-resistant zips to keep the wet out and adjustable velcro cuffs to allow sleeves to be rolled up if required. Reflective detailing mean you shouldn't lose your climbing partner in the dark. Unless you really want to. . . These features also make the Momentum an ideal multisport jacket, combining light weight with functionality and a great active fit.

Fantastic jacket.

This jacket is a fantastic all rounder.
I have personally used one of these jackets on Dartmoor for ten tors 45 mile training through snow, hail, rain, wind and warm conditions. It has performed well and I am very pleased with the choice.
The venting under the arms is a great bonus as you can cool down quickly whilst still wearing the jacket.
Cotswold staff recommended this jacket to me and I am glad I listened. You really do get what you pay for with this jacket.

Perfect for first timers or pro's

This jacket is the best I've had ever. It is completely waterproof but yet so breathable. The Gore-Tex performance shell is amazing. It is very tough as I tested when moving through brambles and trees. It just bowled me over. The pockets are excellent as the jackets I have had previously, the pockets have leaked through the seems. However, in this jacket the pockets can be trusted with anything from electrical items to maps.

Excellent Goretex Jacket

Great jacket. Nice fit with good ventilation but the weathers not been good enough to use the pit vents yet. Been out in absolute downpours and no leaks yet. Love it

Great waterproof jacket

A great all round jacket, and certainly a step up from the RG-1 jacket it replaced.

A great comfortable fit, breathability seemed excellent on a walk in the Shropshire hills, and waterproof capability working well.

An addition of "pit zips" for added ventilation on those warm wet days is a welcome feature.

All in all a great product - I'd have another one tomorrow

Great take anywhere, wear anywhere jacket

Bought to replace a pasclite jacket I have had for years. Great for dropping in a rucksack and taking for walks just in case. Very comfortable to wear, but provides ultimate protection even for those wet British summers. Great jacket at a great price.

Great light weight waterproof

I wore this jacket in Thailand during the recent torrential rain and flooding that the country experienced and I was very impressed. It is very light weight, it packs really small and is extremely waterproof. It kept me dry in monsoon rains for hours at a time. It is also very breathable and it was very comfortable to wear even considering the humidity and heat. An excellent jacket.

Great waterproofing!

Having just tackled the 3 Peaks, this was the only wtaerproof jacket i had with me and to be honest i got a bit concerned that i was going to get wet, i need'nt have been!
During the climbs up Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis we experienced very heavy rain, high winds and snow on Ben Nevis, the Paclite performed admirably well and kept me tinder dry throughout, and it rolls up so small that it takes hardly any room in your rucksack, well worth every penny!

Very Practical and compact waterproof

I am very impressed with the finish quality of this jacket. It also stows very compactly making it ideal for day walking and also for city breaks. It also fits well and is smarter than most shell wear-- to top it all it also is waterproof!!

solid, dependable jacket

I bought this jacket second hand, and it had clearly seen alot of use, however, I have had it well over a year now and it has never let me down. It is dependably waterproof in the worst of rain (experienced in Scotland / Dartmoor /Exmoor)and invariably keeps me dryer than others with similar jackets. Perhaps not the most lightweight of Berghaus products but completely reliable. It does the job well. Only downside is that the pockets are slightly inconveniently positioned, they are not ideal for hands, althoguh good for holding other things, eg. compass, food, etc. Very comfotable watever the weather in particular it has a good hood which keeps the rain of face and eyes inless completely horizontal. NOt perfect, but very good indeed.

It will do the job.

Had this jacket for 12months. Tested on Dartmoor, v wet, to Snowden Jan 2011 v-cold -10 and windy.
Very good jacket it kept me dry at all times. the zips worked well, as did the map pocket. Can just get gear into pockets when wearing a bergan. The only small fault is the hood is not big enough.
