Vapour 32

1 2 3 4 5

For long days out or overnights in hostels, the Vapour is a daypack which handles heavier loads with ease. If you're overnighting in a hostel, you don't require as much kit as you do for a night under canvas. You nevertheless need a bag which will carry more than just a map, flask and a waterproof jacket! The Vapour's 32 litre capacity and supportive hip belt make for a great all rounder: carry as much as you need for weekends away or cinch in the compression straps to keep everything stable if you're only taking the essentials for a day hike. Front panel lashing points, a lid mounted bungee system, compression straps and ice axe and walking pole loops add up to an impressive array of attachment options. Before considering which of these best suits you needs though, the lid pocket and spacious front pocket take care of most of your extra bits.

Flow 23

A ruggedly constructed smaller hiking daypack for lighter loads? Go with the Flow! For summer walking - or for less technically demanding trips year round - you're likely to carry less weighty kit. Nevertheless, your bag needs to be able to withstand the rigours of use and sit comfortably on your back. An adjustable, ventilated back system takes care of the comfort while the tough, 420 denier nylon withstands the inevitable knocks and scrapes. A practical clam-shell zip yawns open to receive your waterproofs, microfleece and lunch and the external and internal pockets allow organised stowage of guide book, map, keys...you know what goes in your bag!

Excellent rucksack

My old Karrimor rucksack has seen better days and I bought this last March in Grasmere. It does everything I want of it and more besides. All the pockets are well-designed and accessible, and there are straps everywhere for attaching all things. It's comfortable, and the breathing system on the back is excellent. Can't find any faults so far, and at the price, it was unbeatable.

Wanted something that I could throw in the car at a moments notice and this is great. One big compartment with some little extras.

Very comfortable, feels nice in hands. Only disadvantage is that there is only one compartment in which its hard to put big things.

A great day bag

This is a perfect dual-purpose bag. It enables me, as a keen photographer and walker to take all I need for the day. Its extra length enables me to pack rain-gear at the bottom and my SLR on top, I can even fit in an extra lens. The bag is well-designed, nicely padded and very comfortable to carry. The front pocket has useful sections for all the little camera accessories and there are external mesh pockets for water etc. A great fit-for-purpose back-pack and very reasonably priced too.

Good bag but strange fit

I had high hopes when I took it out the packaging, but I found the shoulder straps to be really close to each other and they therefore rubbed against my neck. I tried adjusting all straps to varying degrees but the fact remains that the neck opening is just too narrow.

Nice and Lightweight

I have the smaller ND22 and although it is fine, I do not like the pole holder system as they flop down at top. I have had to add and a small velcro strap higher up and it is attached to the loop at zip end on top zip. Also the bottom pole strap will not take poles with the snow thingies on or with ferrules so have added an elastic strap in same place. I have also seen bags with pole holders on front so the poles go under your arm and you can stow them more easily during a walk when they get in the way.

No bag is perfect but apart from the pole issue it is a good bag. The bottles remain inside the elastic pockets even when bending down fully. The front zip pocket is great for bits and pieces. ~Fits very well and hardly know it is there even when full.

best impulse buy this year..

Fabulous lightweight rucksack in a lovely bright and visible colour. as soon as I put this rucksack on it was immediately comfortable. The side pockets are a great size to put almost anything in, but best for things like my hat that I put on and off every 20mins! there are not many pockets but thats great cause then you cant lose things and it means there or no zips to leave open or break etc.

I love it, except...

for the pole attachment system. This does NOT work well with my walking pole. The large loop at the bottom is far too wide to be of use. I take the ferrule off my pole and stick the pointed end through the smaller loop and that works well, but the Velcro strap at the top comes undone too easily and even when it holds, it holds too loosely and the pole waggles about. I am going to thread some lengths of cord through the binding and use cord locks instead.

I recommend this to ANYONE. I purchased this rucksack recently and was overwhelmed with the comfortability when wearing the Jester, it is spacious inside, has numerous pouches & pockets in the front section as well as 2 mesh pouches on the side, in which i place my drinks. This rucksack takes the pain away from hiking, backpacking, camping etc. Great buy.

Perfect Lightweight Backpacking Rucksac !

I've used an Osprey Kestrel for 3 years now, however i wanted something lighter, more comfortable and preferably with a ventilated back system. The Exos covers all bases, and as expected the build quality is second to none! The bag itself is very light, and carries very well, it feels like a day bag, but swallows seemingly endless amounts of kit! The back system is incredibly comfortable and you really notice the vented back panel. The straps on the bag are all stretchy and vented, and work exactly as they should! There are so many great features on the bag, but the one which stands out for me, which is often overlooked is the pocket configuration! The pockets on this bag are really well thought out. The front stretch pocket is really handy, and the two mesh side pockets are excellent to get to drinks bottles, but the pocket on the front with the side zip entrance is an incredibly useful pocket which now houses all the kit i need access to quickly ! An excellent bag, which i think is going to provide many years of service !

Excellent light weight pack

An extremely comfortable stable backpack. Really good features, I really like the elasticated front pocket which is useful for stowing all kinds of stuff that you may need quickly, it's even big enough for a winter mountaineering helmet! The stowing system for Treking poles is genius and works really well. The back system makes a huge difference when climbing up hill and really helps prevent the build up sweat. Any sweat that does form is allowed to quickly evaporate once exertion levels return to normal. Your expensive breathable shell is more effcient with this back system! A great pack, highly recommended.
