The Volcano connects you to the terrain with the renowned Salomon Contagrip sole - with friction for grip on hard ground and lugs for biting into soft - and isolates you from it with the Salomon Cushioning System (SCS) midsole, absorbing the impact of each footfall. Helping to maintain your stability over mixed terrain, Pronation Control uses different density compounds to support the foot, and the Sensifit and Quicklace systems in the upper wraps the Volcano snugly and securely around the foot.
