A lightweight softshell gilet, the Vapour-Rise Lite Vest is perfect for high energy activities, as well as offering welcome extra body-core warmth on cooler evenings. A development of the massively popular Rab Vapour-Rise concept, this Lite version follows the same principle but in a lighter, more packable form. A brushed, fleecy, wicking liner draws moisture away from the body as well as offering light insulation; this moisture is quickly transferred to the highly breathable, weather resistant Pertex Equilibrium shell fabric, where it spreads out across the surface and evaporates. From both inside and out, you stay comfortable! As well as the Vapour-Rise construction in the main body, the sides of the VR Lite are fitted with stretchy panels of Matrix SWS softshell fabric, to keep the fit nice and trim without feeling restrictive. The Lycra bound collar, hem and armholes work to similar effect: comfort is maintained while edges of the vest fit closely to you to keep out the wind and the damp. The VR Lite vest found great favour with Rab's testers on mountaineering and winter running trips and it's easy to see why: light, packable, breathable, weather-protective warmth which allows great freedom of movement. Who wouldn't want that?!
