Mens Neutrino Endurance Jacket

1 2 3 4 5

The Neutrino Endurance is a lightweight, fully featured and very warm down jacket designed primarily for climbing and mountain use. The Neutrino Endurance has become the benchmark down jacket for modern mountaineering and lightweight ascents. The Pertex Endurance outer provides durable protection against storm and spindrift while retaining minimal weight and packsize. High lofting is provided by the 225g (size L) of 800 fill pure European goose down. The Neutrino Endurance is one of those jackets that just does everything you need it to - a firm favourite among professional mountain athletes and an ideal piece for UK and Alpine winter conditions. Just as much at home on a hill walk in the Peak District as it is on a Himalayan Peak, it's often found at winter fell race finish lines or on your 'spotter' when going for the crux on a new boulder problem.

Mens Infinity Endurance Jacket

1 2 3 4 5

The Infinity Endurance Jacket builds on the success of the acclaimed Infinity Jacket, taking the concept a step further with the addition of a water resistant treatment to the outer fabric. When you stop moving and pull on your down jacket, you can't guarantee the weather will be crisp and clear, but you don't want to carry a heavy jacket just in case. The Endurance treatment added to the super-light Pertex Quantum GL fabric keeps out light rain, wind blown snow and increases the jacket's durability but at just 495g (size L), you'll hardly notice it in your pack. Square-quilted baffles and a Lycra edged hood contain 850 fill power European goose down for fantastic warmth. Although aimed squarely at the alpininst and lightweight mountaineer, this is a jacket for anybody who insists on lightweight warmth and weather protection.

Best down jacket I own

Took it to the Tatras and became my best friend there. Packs small in its store bag if not needed (takes a while to fit it in though). Protects you perfectly from cold, the down hood was ideal. We were at about -10 to -18 C most of the time and I didn't feel cold at all in my upper body. I am sure that colder temperatures can be handled well by this jacket. Extremely light and you can move freely. The outer fabric is very thin but resistant. I bought a size that would be loose on me rather than tight. Did not rain so I can't say anything about its water repellency. Back home too hot in it for casual wear.

Great Insulated Jacket

Owned for a couple of months, fantastic!
Really warm and I mean REALLY warm, does exactly as its supposed to, and the new material (different from the original Infinity) actually does repel the water- i've been caught out a few times by sudden downpour wearing this jacket and it's held up just fine and taken minutes to dry out!
The only down side is the jackets overall length- i have a long ish back and it only just covers it (ok standing but rides up a little when seated) otherwise the jacket is true to size and large has a good snug fit over a mid weight fleece (I'm 6ft, 44 chest)
Brilliant warm winter jacket, recommended!

Should change the name to "Neutrino infantrymans"

The British army are now becoming one of the worlds leaders in kit and equipment but one thing they have failed to bring to the all year all season infantryman is a good piece of warm kit to keep morale high as well as body temp. I first heard about down jackets when a friend started to wear a north face nup jacket so i asked him if i could trail it but found it was a little to big to pack in my patrol sack so i started to do a little research to only find what can only be described as "the only bit of morale on frezzing cold nights hitting -23 i have" It may put a dent in the wallet but i would never look back!!! Thankyou Cotswold

Seriously compact; very warm

Spent quiet some time thinking about this jacket. Travelling across europe and wanted something warm at low temperatures but compact and light.

Very glad I purchased it. Not only was it extremely lightweight but it was very warm. The hood was very useful having initially thought it would not be used. Pulling this up over my head really kept me warm.

An added bonus is the number of pockets. Not only are there quiet a few but they are large and I was able to keep passport in zipped inner pocket and gloves and small camera in outer; again zipped closed nicely.

Overall a great jacket and very happy I purchased it.

Warm, Smart, and Rab

This Gilet is one of the best vests on the market.

It is very light thanks to the Pertex Quantum, and also very warm due to the high quality down fill used.

It has two zipped fleece lined pockets which are generous in size and do a great job at keeping your hands warm on a chilly crag.

I wear mine pretty much everyday and you would be surprised at how well it stands up to the rain too!

Fantastic warmer & ultra comfortable

At first I was unsure of parting with the money for this as I have never owned a Rab or down jacket / gilet before, but my doubts were immediately disbanded when on a cold October afternoon in Keswick, on went the gilet and instantly the wind stopped biting my I felt cacooned in a blanket of warmth.

A great versatile gilet (although I always call it a body warmer) which when packed in its stuff sack can fit into the smallest gap in your rucksack.

Very comfortable to wear and good sized pockets (2 external and 1 internal) make this a very useable item.

Highly recommended!

A valuable pack

Totally agree with the other reviews, I have had mine for a few years now and its invaluable. I use it for outdoors, and at work. the flexibility of the gillet is terrific, whist the warmth factor is great. Comfortable to wear, handy side pockets. Not so good in the extreme wet. (obviously being down) but I've had it fairly soaked and I still didn't get wet or cold. Weight ratio is great and never gets left behind.

Ideal for all uses

Top gilet, very light and comfortable, two good size pockets on the outside with one on the inside, with toggles on zips for ease of use. Excellent down quality providing warmth quickly on walking stops of prolonged periods of time. Stuff sack makes it easy to compact and put in your rucksack taking up very little room. Cant think of a situation where i would'nt take it with me!!

One of the better gilets i have used, highly reccommend!
