About the store
Welcome
Cotswold Outdoor Cardiff is now open in South Wales. Ideally placed between the Brecon Beacon National Park and the South Wales coastline with a wide variety of local activities ranging from climbing on the Gower to walking and caving in the Beacons. Located just outside Cardiff, and in easy reach of the M4, the 8500sq foot store gives our customers the advantage of massive product range under one roof. Whether you are looking to kit yourself out for a gentle stroll along the coastline, camping out in the Gower, or planning an expedition to the Himalayas, we have the right products for you.
Local knowledge and experience
The majority of our staff are from the local area, so can provide hints and tips for having fun and exploring the South Wales area as well as further a field. We have skiers, climbers, walkers, scramblers, surfers, and mountain bikers - some younger, some older. One of us has even walked to the magnetic north pole! We all have one thing in common however - a passion for the outdoors and adventure.
We know the routes, the trails, the places to see and stay as well as where to eat. We also love to hear our customers' stories and experiences and learn a lot from them, so please feel free to pop in for a browse and a chat with us.
Store and location
We are proud to be the largest supplier of outdoor equipment in South Wales. As a result we stock a wide range of products from brands such as The North Face, Lowe Alpine, Mountain Hardware & Macpac to name just a few. We also stock casual clothing from Oakley, Billabong and Animal. Our corner log cabin library is filled with a range of guidebooks and maps, providing inspiration for your next trip or challenge. In addition, we have a large selection of climbing equipment from the basics to the extreme.
We also have trained boot fitters in store for those people who have footwear problems, or just really want their boots to fit correctly for the first time. Whatever you need, just pop in and we'll be happy to help.
The store is easy to find, located just off junction 34 of the M4 on the A4119 towards Llantrisant at Talbot Green Retail Park, where ample free parking is available at the front of the store.
