Our People
People are the most important part of our business. To ensure our
staff are kept abreast of product developments and that our customers
get the best possible advice during their visits to Cotswold Outdoor,
all of our staff undergo a continual programme of experimental product
training and on the job skills development. With the help of suppliers
and using our own qualified instructors, our staff are able to test
the latest products in the environment for which they were designed.
Cotswold Outdoor also dedicates time each week (in stores) to ensure
that our staff receive training that will continue to build and
develop product knowledge and customer service.

able to offer training and personal development programmes. We aim,
wherever possible to promote from within and as such the combination

Job Role Descriptions
Store Manager
The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of day to day running and sales development of branch including:
- Sales Development and Profitability
- Stock Control and Maintaining Processes
- Store Personnel Development & Welfare
- Health & Safety
- Branch Security
Previous supervisory or management experience in a retail environment
is essential.
Outdoor or Travel experience is desirable but not essential.

Assistant Manager

You will have the skills and experience to drive store sales through
excellent customer service and effective merchandising.

You will be passionate about developing the very best store team
through great people management.

You will maintain profitability through your effective use and
understanding of store processes.
Previous supervisory or management experience in a retail environment
is essential.
Outdoor or Travel experience is desirable but not essential.

Retail Admin Support

You will understand this diverse role is essential in supporting the
store team to deliver the best service to our customers.

You will be well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to
communicate with suppliers, customers and your store colleagues.
Previous customer service experience is essential as is basic IT
knowledge.
Outdoor or Travel experience is desirable but not essential.
Previous admin experience would be advantageous but full training will
be given.
Full or Part Time

Visual Merchandiser

You will have the creative flair and eye for detail to ensure our
branded products are displayed with accuracy and appeal.

You will implement window and in-store displays; ensuring promotions
are executed professionally.

You will be passionate about creating a great store environment,
promoting sales opportunities through visual display and enhancing
the Cotswold brand.
Previous visual merchandising experience is essential.
Outdoor or Travel experience is desirable but not essential.

Store Supervisor

You will have some retail experience possibly in a supervisory
position.

You will have the desire to develop your own management skills in a
busy store environment.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to deliver
the very best customer service.

You will support the management team to achieve sales and service
targets.
Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous but full
training will be given.

Retail Sales Assistant
Could your passion for the outdoors take you in store?

You will have the ability to listen to your customers' needs and
offer appropriate solutions - whether they are discovering the
Brecon Beacons (Peak District) (Cairngorm?) (South Downs?)or
trekking in the Himalayas.

Retail or Customer Service experience is desirable although full
training will be given.
