Cardiff - City Centre store

used for Walking, Scrambling

They are a perfect fit, straight from the box and can handle all terrains really well. There are four girls who work in the Cotswold store where I work and we all have the same boots – if that isn’t an endorsement, I don’t know what it. They have a good rigid outsole but they're not heavy compared to a lot of boots.

Verdict: Well fitting, functional – and pretty good looking too!

Very pleased so far! Reviewed By Helen, 18 Apr 2013

Just took my boots on their first adventure in the great outdoors, Brilliant fit, good support and nice dry feet. No problems at all. Looking forward to breaking them in some more.
The comfort factor may be due to the excellent service provided by staff at Droitwich branch who measured my feet and found out I was actually a size bigger than I thought! Many thanks.

Amazing Boot, Even more Amazing Service Reviewed By Greg, 27 Aug 2012

Bought these boots today from Bridgemere. The fitter spent 2 hours with us despite being busy. Having been measured we tried literally dozens of boot and sock combos. These were half a size larger but with the right sock and a volume adjuster (thrown in Free) the fit perfect. We've had real issues with full leather boots but the build quality is fantastic and the fit is amazing. My wife simply wont take them off now. Got to get to the hills to try these babies out.....

High performing and "multi-terrain" Reviewed By Mary-Laure, 26 Jul 2012

The Asolo combines comfort with effectiveness, which is largely down to the design of the sole of the boot. Not only is it very light, but its stability, grip and ability to absorb shock are traits that would recommend it to any user. I have trekked in numerous conditions and have never felt any discomfort or had any issues with these boots; from highly abrasive soils in Peru and Iceland, to muddy footpaths in Norway and conditions involving very dry soil in Indonesia.
The lacing mechanism and upper part of the boots mould perfectly to the ankle, preventing excess movement and slipping when walking. There is, however, one potential drawback - the excess fabric in the tongue can sometimes be uncomfortable if you do not lace the boot correctly.
The goretex system is also very effective. The last hike that I went on was two weeks ago in the New Forest, and despite continuous rain for three days, my feet remained dry, which was a feat in itself considering the number of streams I had to cross!
In summary, I would say that the Asolo is designed for someone looking for a top performing, highly reliable, “multi-terrain” product.

I bought these for my daughter's silver DoE and they have prooved to be very comfortable from the onset, stylish and light coupled with a good build quality and strong rigidity.

Would definitely recommend them for a long-term purchase

comfortable, durable walking boots :) Reviewed By Chantal, 02 Mar 2012

These are a great pair of boots and very comfortable. I took mine on a trip to the Himalayas, walking for 14 days over a distance of more than 90 miles and got not one blister. Even better, three out of the four females in my group had these boots and were all very satisfied with their performance. They have a tough sole and are very waterproof thanks to the inner lining. I have also used them on a gold DofE expedition along with regualar walks in the Lake District and they still have plenty of life in them yet. Only tip, be sure to take a spare pair of laces as the initial ones did not last very long.

Very comfortable walking boots!!! Reviewed By Louise , 27 Feb 2012

Great boots, definitely worth the money. I was trying to find a pair of boots that would support my high arch, and tried on numerous makes, that just didn't feel supportive enough. Had never previously heard of Asolo. However the quality is very high and they offer great ankle and arch support.Have worn these alot whilst walking in the Scottish mountains and they haven't let me down.

Sole falls off Reviewed By Paula, 11 Jul 2011

I had one pair of these boots - gaps developed between sole and body at toe, compromising waterproofing and promising imminent deterioration. Took it back to shop, got refund. Got second pair cheaply online, almost new, same thing happened, but this time I got to see the whole process - gaps developed at toe, sole then completely disengaged from body at toe, rendering boot ruined. Had to do major glue job to finish walking trip and throw boots out when finished.

Good looking but poor performance Reviewed By Mary, 23 May 2011

A great disappointment. My first pair were really comfortable but one boot leaked and they had to be returned. My second pair are on their way back as they are excruciating with rucked up lining causing blisters.Poor quality control.
