Our daughter (9) wears a thin "scalp" fleece either round the campfire under her bush-mans hat in colder weather or camping at night as vital head insulation in a sleeping bag.
comfy as it has minimal seams on the inside, so well thought out.
Always worth packing for just in case use, small enough to slip into a pocket or plump your pillow with if not used on warmer nights.

Designed to be close fitting, less likely to fly off in more extreme conditions.
