Comfy+Durable+Easy Cleaning = Brilliant for DofE Reviewed By Dafydd, 06 Mar 2012

I used these staright from the box on my silver dofe. My old pair of boots broke the week earlier when I was climbing. These were and still are brilliant. I had no blisters after spending 3 days walking around Snodonia National Park and I bought these down there the day before I started. People who had well broken in boots were in more pain than I was.

Durable All Terrain Reviewed By Vincent, 02 Dec 2011

Recently I have taken the leap from amateur landscape photographer to semi-pro. With this move came a lot more travel to more rugged terrains. One of the areas I was headed to recently was the Brecon Beacons in Wales. I had planned to spend three days out there exploring the amazing waterfalls and some of the longer walks through its countryside. To do this I needed some new kit that included boots and gaiters.

I went to Cotswolds in Bournemouth with the idea of purchasing a pair of walking boots. The pair I originally wanted turned out to be unsuitable for what I wanted. The expert help in the store put me on the right path. What I needed was a pair of boots that were durable, waterproof, and still hold their comfort at the end of the day. I purchased the Berghaus Explorer Ridge GTX on the advice of a Cotswold sales person and I am more happy with my purchase. The boots are far exceeding my expectations and meet all of the above criteria.

Comfort and durability Reviewed By Lance, 28 Nov 2011

The structure of these boots is more like that of a fabric boot, but with the leather outer they are so much easier to get the mud off. The result is a comfy boot which is not afraid of British mud.
