Excellent value crampon Reviewed By Edward, 26 Mar 2013

The Nuptse are a very good general mountaineering crampon, but are set apart by the very low (comparatively at least!) price. Build quality is very good, and didn't have any balling issues with loose snow.

When it comes to climbing especially on hard ice, the small front points do feel a bit lacking, but this is to be expected since they are not a full-on climbing crampon. Secondary points are also smaller than on some other models such as Grivel G12, but never felt insecure.

Excellent all-round crampon at great price.

good crampon, just one issue Reviewed By Kerstin, 29 Jan 2013

I used this pair to scrample in the Lakes in snow. It's a good all round crampon and does what it sais on the tin. However, snow was collecting between the orange platic shield and the metal crampon. This pushed the platic away and off on of the the metal spike at the heal. It was easy enough to re-attach afterwards, but if the walk would have been longer, it may have come off entirely.
