I bought this from Cotswold Outdoor last year and just had to put a review up after it has undergone such extreme tests of stamina! This is a light-weight, easy to carry shelter which, once erected, really does withstand the elements. After happily using it for a rather sedate family holiday last year (nice soothing snoozes on a deserted wildlife reserve beach...), this year, the shelter really had to step up its game! My husband decided it was the year to learn to surf and my job was sitting on the beach with our four-year-old in the shelter - not as easy as it sounds. I erected this shelter in what became an almost gale-force wind, no damage at all. We then sat in it for three hours of said gale force with neither damage nor disturbance! The sun, of course, was kept off too. So once you get the hang of getting this shelter up, it actually withstands pretty extreme conditions. Definitely worth spending that bit more on this and not wasting money on those 'pop up' kiddie shelters that can frequently be seen, in an English summer, flying off down the beach faster than the kite surfers can catch them.

We had been really struggling to find something for protect our daughter from the (occasional) sunshine when we found this product. It is much more practical than the full tents a lot of places had and the extra ground sheet to the front works really well.
