The DMM 4CU's light weight is a noticeable advantage when packing in or climbing with a full rack. An average 20% weight saving means that the climber can "sew up cracks" with a much lighter rack. Another way of looking at it is that climbers can place 20% more cams, feel much more secure, and still come out even on the weight. Less weight with more protection ... who wouldn't love that? Each cam is rated to 14 kN in the active, working position with the quick release sling doubled, and 12 kN with sling fully extended. The passive strength of the cams, resting on their stops, is 10 kN.

I can absolutely recommend the 4CU range of cams, place them properly and they will not budge at all, even from a substantial drop. I personally prefer them to single stemmed cams and they're easy to retrieve from tight places with your nut key too. Definitely saved me a few times.

these are the most outstanding and reliable bits of gear i have ever bought. In fact i would say that 4CU's are better than the dragon cams, the quality is exceptional. the teeth on the lobes and the cam stops are well defined and deep, the trigger is sharp and very responsive and when yo have a full rack the weight of them makes for a noticeable reduction in the overall weight of a rack. But to my mind the stem is the real gem as its flexible and will take a load which would snap a single stem cam. I tool a 30ft fall onto a single size 3 cam and it held solid.....

I have a full set of these and they offer the best value on the market. They're easy to place and release and hold well.
