I bought this hat when I was doing the OMM (Original Mountain Marathon) in 2007. The marathon is in October and it’s invariably pretty poor weather. It’s so small you can have it in your pocket and almost forget it’s there. But when the chill closes in and you start to cool down you can pop it on for that extra bit of warmth. It’s ideal for the purpose.


Verdict: Tiny and surprisingly warm.
