Simple to use, accurate and uncomplicated, the Forerunner 210 is a brilliantly versatile runner's watch, for training indoors or out.
Tracking how far, how fast and how hard you run is a very simple matter with the Forerunner 210. Charge it up, take it outside to get a satellite fix, answer a few setup questions, then press start. At the end of your run, press stop. It's that easy!
If you want to step your training up, setting up customised interval sessions and seeing your pace for each one, that's no problem. The Forerunner 210 comes with a soft-strap heart rate monitor and so displays your heart rate, and you can easily set heart-rate zones and alerts so you know when you're above or below your targets. The heart-rate info also gets used to calculate the calories you've burned, for a better picture of your training performance.
When you're training outdoors, the Forerunner 210 uses GPS to determine your movements, accurately recording speed, distance and time. Indoors, it can connect with various items of gym equipment to see how you're performing on the treadmill or bike, or with an optional Garmin Footpod - an advanced accelerometer which clips to your shoe and sends precise data to the unit - to record your movements in the gym.
Whether you're putting in some serious training for an eVent, managing your personal fitness, or looking for motivation to go further, faster and harder, the Forerunner 210 provides useful, interesting, easy to read data through Garmin Connect, Garmin's online data analysis and sharing community. Using the charging clip, you can plug it in to your PC, upload the data to the website and replay your workout, view your routes on a map, check out a summary of your performance and plan goals for next time. With thousands of other users worldwide, you can even share data with others for greater motivation and future training routes and ideas.
