The GPSmap 62stc is a top-of-the-line ruggedised GPS for the keen outdoor enthusiast. With its quad helix antenna and high-sensitivity WAAS/EGNOS-enabled GPS receiver it has unparalleled reception to locate your position quickly and precisely even in heavy cover and deep valleys. A 3-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter further enhance the unit’s abilities when the going gets tough. As well as being able to save waypoints while you're out and about, the unit comes complete with a built-in 5 megapixel digital camera, which autimatically geotags your photos as you take them: in other words, it records where they were taken and can navigate you back to that spot!

The sunlight readable 6.6cm 65K colour screen can make full use of the supplied full GB Discoverer 1:50K digital mapping and the menu navigation buttons are easily useable even when wearing gloves. As well as the full UK Ordnance Survey mapping, the GPSMAP 62stc comes loaded with full Europe-wide toppgraphical mapping. Full GB 1:50K mapping included saving £150 on RRP.

Great GPS unit, with a large bright screen, excellent for use in both bright and low light conditions. The camera is great when combined with the location data if using it for fieldwork or geocaching. The full GB map and EU topo maps make it easy to navigate along with the use of Garmin's Basecamp software make it easy to download walks and also pre-programme trails. The carabiner is a great accessory to attach to your sac so you'll not have to keep reaching in your bag at the most vital moments. Great purchase for anyone out in the field!
