Cheap & proven design mess tins are deesigned to cook in & then eat out of!

Light & durable witha simple but comfy handle they make meals that bit faster for re-fuelling.
definitely one to consider, basic but quite honestly all you need for most outings, generously proportioned, & you can store kit in when clean & empty.
I tend to take some aluminium foil with mine to either act as a lid (speeds heating times) or as an impromptu wind break.
