I have recently purchased these shale pants and have no regrets. They are extremely comfy and great for any outdoor activity. I wear them for work and out on the hill, I have found them to be very durable breathable and fast drying.

I have just taken these great trousers up and around a very boggy rugged Kinder Scout, great flexability in the movement of the trouser fantastic fit, shower resistant definatly kept me dry no issues with chill, im five foot 2 and the leg length is perfect with boot, no turn ups!!
No scoring on the knee's when up agaisnt grit stone, really impressed with these as a three season trouser, did not retain water in the peat trough scrambles,I would really reccomend these as a great all round pair of trousers 5/5. its hard to get a good fit when so short waist, length, pant flexability where superb, maybe a pocket on the leg would make me a tad happier : )

The other review is a bit funny really as these pants are either waterproof or windproof. They may be wind resistant.

However they are brilliant, i now own 2 pairs (black and bracken), i am an instructor and use my gear a lot. These pants are comfy, strong (but thin) and perfect for summer mountain and trekking and travelling. They are quite long in the leg so if you are shorter than 5 ft 8 you may have to get short (like most haglofs stuff though). So if you want a lightweight, good quality, simple, no frills pair of trousers then these are for you.

My first purchase from Haglofs - I couldn't be happier. They are comfortable, kept me dry on a pretty wet day on Dartmoor, dried easily and were windproof. They fit perfectly and I am finding it hard not to order more. One pair just isn't enough!
