Excellent winter warmers. Reviewed By Tony, 25 Jan 2013

Use these base layers for walking as well as riding my motorcycle in the winter, they are excellent insulation and help keep the cold away. The fit is very good and comfortable with no seams to cause any chafing and easy to negotiate at loo stops. All round good product especially at the present discount price, a bargain.

Fantastically warm Reviewed By Ben, 21 Jan 2013

The legs are great under any trousers and never let you overheat either. I wore the top to go running in the snow and it didn't let me down, nice and warm. Only small problem is the bottoms of the legs are a bit tight so take some persuading over my ankles, not ideal for a sleeping bag.

Worth the extra money Reviewed By Graham, 31 Dec 2012

I have used these for the past 4 years and I have just purchased another pair. The design of the legs have been changed to be more shaped, this appears to provide better fitting. I have used them to keep warm at night in a sleeping bag, to keep dry in the heat and warm whilst in snow, mountaineering. They work well as a base layer or just wearing the top on its own. So they are worth the extra money compared to other cheaper cheaper outlet designs.

Ideal baselayers Reviewed By Stephen, 26 Dec 2012

Extremely good base layers, even better value as it is a twin pack.
The leggings are a snug fit keeping heat in but are also breathable. Only problem is with the key hole fly being a bit loose.
Top is perfect especially when it fits. No chaffing it anything around neck or wrists.
They both are non restricting so full range of movement, very light so you can forget you are wearing them except for feeling oddly warm.
The perfect bargain base layer

Good Value Baselayer but is it warm enough? Reviewed By John, 02 Dec 2012

Bought these today and have just tried them on. Feel lovely and silky smooth, and very light. Too light? Won't know until tried out in earnest in Jan when we go skiing. Worried I might need to get something warmer just in case?

Lifa twin pack Reviewed By Andrew, 24 Sep 2012

Only bad thing about these is the arms on the top are very baggy compared to the Life Dry Stripe top I'm used to, but otherwise, it does the job just fine, as you expect from Helly base layers

Outstanding thermals! Reviewed By David, 05 May 2012

I've had these for a couple of years now and they are still in very good condition and I can always rely on them to keep me that little bit warmer!

The top is not tight to my upper body but this makes it more comfortable, it might be quite thin material but it makes a massive difference and due to its thickness it dries very quickly if it gets damp.

The trousers and great for keeping my legs warm, they are skin-tight but socks easily fit over the top where they stop at the ankle. Again they are only thin material but they easily keep me warm enough and again they dry quickly if they get damp.

Overall this is a great twin pack and im very glad i bought them as they make such a difference and considering how small they pack down(extremely so) I always take them just in case!

Great , essential piece of kit Reviewed By Nicholas, 25 Feb 2012

Warm when its cold and cool when its hot. Functions exactly as it should. Found it fantastic for the changeable mountain weather, I found I could dump most of the layers id take up the mountains saving massively on weight and space in my rucksack. They are very breathable and durable as well. Use them to cycle while the weather is cold as well - they are great for that too. Another great Helly Hansen buy.

A solid peice of kit Reviewed By william, 16 Jan 2012

Helly hensons lifa base layers have been around for as long as I can remember and I have used them a lot and I have never been disappointed. I have strayed away from the path a few times and bought other base layers only to be disappointed.
They are very light weight and durable and you get a lot of warmth from them like a second skin or a coat of fur for the start. Also you don’t get over heated in them when you really get going. They really last and is probably why henson has been producing this range for so long I.E they really work. This base layer will out live any other you will buy. Also the tops iconic stripes down the arms make you look respectable even if you have spent weeks in the hills away from showers. Now this brings me to the down side if you are away from showers for several days you really do stink with them on,but the up side is rinsing them in a stream is easy and they dry super quick also after a multi day in the wilds you can just shower with them wash them on peal off and they will be dry within an hour. This offer price is fantastic – if you like being outdoors ,super active or not, you can not go wrong with this base layer.

Fantastically Warm Reviewed By Neil, 08 Jan 2012

I was looking for a thin but insulative base layer to wear under a drysuit, I was initially drawn to these as they fulfilled both criteria. They are extremely light, often it seems you aren't even wearing them! Despite their apparent lack of thickness they are extremely insulative, I wore the top out in ~10 degrees and didn't feel cold at all. Another bonus is they are extremely quick to dry. All together these are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone.
