Intelligent lighting: the LED Lenser M7 combines ergonomic comfort, technical innovation and ease of use. Managed by programmable microprocessors - the M in the name of the torch - Smart Light Technology (SLT) is an electronic light control system that provides several programmes (Professional, Easy, Defense) and different light functions (Morse, Boost, Power, Low Power, Dim, Blink, SOS, Defense Strobe). The selection of functions is intuitive and carried out by using only one push-button. SLT not only controls the light programs, but also the manner of discharge of the lamp: choose between steadily decreasing or constant current drain and brightness. The Advanced Focus System allows continuous adjustment of focus but can be locked if needed.

I bought this model 6months ago and im so happy i did. Gone is my old 4Dcell Maglite. The one handed Advanced Focus System they use gives you a low beam to long distance light by a simple push of the thumb so no two handed twisting needed! 220 lumins and 11hours of light at 255meters all produced from affordable and easy to get 4AAA batteries. 8 light settings with 2 power settings makes this a very versitile torch indeed. I find the belt clip useful too. Clip to your belt, turn it on and you have 360degrees rotation for totally hands free use! The Leatherman Tool Group have recently bought this company over and extended the torch warrenty to now 5 years. Led Lensers motto is 'Creating New Worlds Of Light', how true they are. This could be the last torch you ever buy!!

Originally bought this for work purposes, and as a paramedic i needed something that was lightweight, fit in one hand, and was easy to use. This torch didnt disappoint. Its practical and small annd compact enough to pop in my response coat and works a treat. Definate life saver.
The sos mode is also perfect for summoning people in crowds and definately makes you stand out.
