What they don't mention on the blurb that comes with this whistle is that you must cover your ears when you blow it as it is extremely loud! I use the chord to tie it to the inside of my jacket pocket.

A very handy item that could save your life some day.

I purchased two of these whistles for scouts and find them invaluable. The whistle is broad and fits comfortably in hand providing sufficient noise to gain attention. I have one attached to rucksack permanently together with a compass. They are cheap and as such I use my spare whistle attaching it to trouser belt so I know it is there if ever I need it. An essential piece of kit for anyone taking to hills/mountain

Very easy to blow and very, very loud. Also on the whistle it is easy to change tone/pitch using fingers to manipulate the valve. Excellent small size for even the smallest of kits or key ring.Very thin and slim design. Excellent for fitting into a survival kit or have around your neck.
