The Renegade GTX is Lowa's best selling trekking boot and a firm favourite for day hiking, backpacking and short expeditions because of the phenomenal comfort, support and cushioning it offers.

The soft, nubuck leather upper is lined with Gore-Tex, making it not only flexible but fully waterproof. Because the lining is seamless, the risk of hot spots and blisters is reduced and mid height ankle support ensures a secure fit. A new midsole construction means that the boot is even more lightweight whilst retaining important stability. The climate control footbed keeps feet at a comfortable temperature and improves breathability. The Renegade GTX also features a robust but flexible Vibram sole, providing support and absorbing impact on every step. The derby style lacing meaning that you can customise the boot to suit your foot shape.

VERY COMFORTABLE BOOT Reviewed By PAUL, 16 Apr 2013

These boots are very comfortable from the off and require no breaking in. The leather is very soft, how hard wearing only time will tell.walking through streams and feet still bone dry.
I decided on this boot after reading previous reviews, as i was given no advice whatsoever on what boot to buy from staff in shop, nor any foot measuring service offered.

wide fitting but not baggy Reviewed By Robert, 26 Mar 2013

The top arch of my feet are quite high which restricts the range of boots I can get my feet into. Unfortunately when I do find boots with enough height it is often too high which causes the boot near the bottom lacing to collapse and press on my toes. So far the only option is to wear baggy boots but insert extra insoles to reduce some of the volume.I have now bought my first Lowa boots which have plenty of height but not prone to collapsing over the toes. Also the back of the shoe fits well around the heal stopping movement which can also be a problem with "wide fitting" boots. Overall a very well fitting boot.

Very comfortable well fitting boot Reviewed By D, 25 Feb 2013

I normally have a lot of trouble finding a boot that fits well and is comfortable for all day walking. Tried various boots in the shop and liked many styles, but these felt perfect from the first moment putting them on, so much so I really didn't want to get back in my shoes to leave the shop. Excellent fitting service from shop and will report back after walking Inca Trail later this year ...

Excellent walking boot. Reviewed By Simon, 23 Feb 2013

Purchased these boots today with excellent advice & attention to my size & requirements from your staff member in the Belfast Castle Lane store. Went straight home & out for a long walk with the dog over mixed terrain, a combination of very muddy & very rocky! Boots were really comfortable right out of the box & proved to be very supportive with great sole structure for such a light feeling boot, no problems protecting my feet while carrying my 13.5 stone over very stony ground. Bought the boots for mountain walking & am confident they will deal with all terrains & conditions. Best boots I have owned & I've been walking 35 years.

Super comfy boots! Reviewed By Richard, 21 Oct 2012

Love these boots; bought them a few months ago for a trip to Scotland. Really comfortable straight out of the box and kept my feet dry. Bit of an investment but worth it when you think how long they should last! Love my Lowas!

Awesome boot, great fit and comfort! Reviewed By Ben, 02 Oct 2012

Recently bought these boots after eyeing them up for some time as a replacement for my old raichle boots! Tried them on in store with the guys there being extremely helpful and informative about these boots and other alternatives. I found the lowas incredibly comfortable, so much that after I choose to purchase them I ditched my trainers straight away to wear them straight out of the shop. A quick hike in mid wales an hour later revealed no problems, just an superbly made and comfortable pair of boots!
