I have had this rucksack for 3 years and I have used it for hundreds of hiking, mountaineering and climbing trips. It has always been up to the job, however, on especially long days, the shoulder straps start to dig in and have left me marked for days. Having one Ice Axe loop and holder isn't great, however I generally use the side compression straps but I'd rather not.
The toggle on the lid can be a faff but it does allow for a huge amount of extra storage, for a rope or helmet in particular. The chest strap catches on either side of the shoulder straps do have a tendency to ping off from time to time but are easily replaced or put back.

On the plus sides, the side access is handy, the internal zipped pocket on the side entry, the external front pocket, the external lid pocket and internal lid pocket with key holder are great features. The rain cover has never let me down and I've always been able to fit in all my gear with ease, and I bring a lot of gear.

In short, its good but not great.

Looks great but
1. very heavy
2. got fancy waterproof zips and yet the rucsac material leaks like a seive
3. the adjustable back length slips when you exercise with the pack on
4. the chest strap slides around when exercising
5. the side zip access to the main compartment look clever, but as the pack is so UNwaterproof I line the sack with a polythene bag, so even if you open the zip you can not get past the bag! (And its just as easy to put your hand in through the top!)
6. side mesh pockets quite hard to access when wearing the pack
7. floating lid a bit clumsy with the string set up and the lid does not always sit comfortably on top with a decent seal
Otherwise some reasonable features...

After careful consideration regarding my choice of day sack for my trek in the Khumbu last September/October I finally settled on the Airzone Centro 35+10. A serious contender had been the Osprey Atmos 35. However the flexible extra 10 litre capacity and Easy access side entry swung the vote on this issue. Its not always easy to decide on packing priorities when you are on the move all the time and the opening side panel takes away the aggro of getting to stuff at the bottom of your bag when you need it quick sharp, say for example, when you need to reach the first aid kit having taken a dive down the side of a particularly steep Moraine.

The adjustable back came in useful when travelling light on an acclimatisation excursion (one pack between two of us). My bro. is vertically challenged in comparison to myself so it necessitated a quick adjustment to the back length on the Airzone to provide a suitable fit.

It's not difficult to develop tired shoulders with a sack that doesn't sit well on the back and it was very notable that despite spending many hours carrying this up and down the mountains on a daily basis that such fatigue was never experienced. Additionally, the air gap and net back support worked immensely well in keeping my back free from excessive sweat.

Another important factor effecting my choice was that of the support provided by the hip belt. I have sciatica and the sack's ability to distribute the weight well between the hip and shoulder straps was essential.

What I found less attractive about the Airzone Centro when compared with the Atmos was the pole storage system which is fairly run of the mill in design. The Atmos has a cool Stowe on the Go system which I particularly liked. However, applying a little ingenuity consisting of two short lengths of bungee cord and spring toggles I had my own Stowe on the Go system in place which I believe is as good if not better than the Atmos's version.

The only short comings other than the above mentioned is the fact that some of the smaller facets of the design could have been fitted a little more securely. I tried to utilise some the small (some might describe as decorative) loops which have questionable purpose stitched into the body of the sack here and there. Unfortunately they cannot be relied upon for holding anything important and to that end are therefore probably best left as decoration.

All in all this sack is a real player in the day sack stakes. It's well built. Well balanced and is everything a day sack should be. Super comfortable. Holds everything you could want in the field for a day and more, and carries like a 25 litre on your back.

But don't just take my word for it. Go try one out.

The best daysack I have ever owned.The back system is easily adjusted for a perfect fit and the mesh helps to reduce 'sweaty back syndrome'.The framesheet is sturdy/rigid and keeps any pointy items from poking into your back.Combined with the 'adaptive fit' hipbelt, this daysack carries weight well and feels light on the back. The lack of small pockets on the belt and shoulder straps aren't much of an inconvenience as I found I was easily able to reach around and grab small items from the top/side pockets of the bag whilst walking. There is so much more I could say about this bag. Overall, it is a well engineered, versatile and comfortable. A brilliant buy!

I bought this daysack for the look and colour and its actually brilliant with all the storage and gadgets on it and also very comfy to wear. As a woman I thought it'd be too big but it fit perfectly, very good back ventilation.
