Incredible waterproof shell

I didn't actually buy this jacket from cotswold, I bought it whilst in Norway, but for a lot more than this price.

I am normally a medium, but I bought this a size up in order to fit layers underneath, and it fits perfectly. It allows a lot of movement without being too baggy and the sleeves are a good length. It is lightwight, considering the amount of technical features it has.

I have mainly used this for mountain walking. It will NEVER let water in. Worn it in pouring rain for whole days and was still dry. It uses GORE-TEX pro shell, which is the best GORE-TEX material. The zips are very water-resistant.

This jacket is also very good for climbing. The pockets are placed above where the harness would go, and are big enough to fit many accessories in them. There are five pockets in total, which is easily enough. The articulated sleeves mean you can really stretch in all directions. Its breathability allows vigorous climbing without getting damp on the inside, which is also very good for any high energy activity. THIS IS VERY BREATHABLE. Also, the large pit zips are good when the weather isn't too harsh but you need cooling down.

Another plus to this jacket is the helmet compatible hood. It is easily adjustable, moves with your head, and has a peak which helps keep out driving rain. This hood makes it even better for climbing.

This jacket is also durable. The reinforced materials all over means you don't have to worry about falling over or scraping against a rock.

The last thing i like about this jacket is that it looks good. I wear it around town, even if there isn't much rain.

You will not find a better jacket than this.

Incredible Jacket

Purchased to replace a faulty Mountain Equipment jacket, the Spitz II is superior in every way. This is the toughest Gore-tex Pro Shell I've seen on any jacket so far, yet still incredibly lightweight, and packed with every feature I could ask for on an outer shell. Fits nicely on its own but has enough room for a few layers underneath, and built to the highest quality. Not the cheapest Pro Shell you can find, but the price tag is justified many times over.

I got a size larger in order to fit my fleece beneath and it's a great fit. Excellent in heavy rain.

Brilliant jacket

I needed to buy a jacket that would serve me well as I was moving to a mountainous region in China 2 years ago. This has proved to be an excellent jacket. With many heavy downpours and strong winds at 4000m above sea level, it has consistently been a great jacket well worth the money! Thanks for the advice from the Cotswold's staff!
