All ready for my World challenge trip Reviewed By Katie, 13 Apr 2013

I am starting to prepare for my World Challenge trip next year to Nepal. I was on a trip to Manchester with my grandparents and called in to the Cotswold shop to try on and get their advice as I really didnt have a clue where to start. They were really helpful - friendly and didn't make me feel awkward trying on different rucksacks. I decided on the TFX Kibo it has lots of pockets a raincover and attachments, the staff were really good and took me through the range to find the one that was right for me; size, fit and colour, even helping me feel what the bag would be like weighed down with kit. They showed me exactly how a rucksack should fit, so I came away feeling like I really had the right rucksack for me!
The rucksack itself is great. I carried it on the way home with all my outlet purchases I am really excited now about the trip and plan to practice using it on hikes prior to my trip and I am sure it will be up to the job in Nepal. Thank you everyone

great buy for Ten tors scout event Reviewed By neil, 05 Feb 2013

Our son used a 30 year old rucksack on training walk and had red marks on his shoulders, we visited Cotwold Outdoors and tried on many different styles, this one was best fit, staff excellent,no hard sell. He used it last weekend with same weight in it, no red marks and he felt it was much better after 27 km,good product, even better staff.

perfectly comfortable and spacious for long hikes Reviewed By Steph, 30 Nov 2012

After visiting the Cotswolds in Kingston, and receiving some excellent help on picking the most suitable rucksack, I ordered this bag for my world challenge trip to Kyrgyzstan. Well what I can say is that 4 solid weeks trekking it was absolutely perfect for the job. It provided ample room for my sleeping bag, mat, food equipment, extra clothes, and tent equipment, and all of the handy storage compartments were excellent for being organised! The bag albeit looking swamp coloured and smelling now after my trip is structurally as good as new and I have no complaints. The bag felt like it supported my back creating good posture and the hip belt and chest strap were great for keeping the bag in the right place.

So overall GREAT bag, GREAT buy, GREAT advice, and GREAT fit!

Great service, great product! Reviewed By Jessica, 30 Sep 2012

I was looking for a rucksack for my World Challenge expedition but had no idea where to start. The Cotswold team in Guildford were incredibly helpful and even had first-hand experience of World Challenge. They took me through the range to find the one that was right for me; size, fit and colour, even helping me feel what the bag would be like weighed down with kit. They showed me exactly how a rucksack should fit, so I came away feeling like I really had the right rucksack for me!
The rucksack itself is great. It is incredibly comfortable to wear with great padding, especially around the hips. There are many useful pockets, including a space for a hydration reservoir - which I am very pleased with. It also has a very useful rain-cover which is very effective and particularly useful in the British weather!
I am very much looking forward to taking this rucksack on my month long expedition to Thailand and Cambodia and I am confident it will be up to the job.

Womens' Rucksack with great flexibility Reviewed By Simon, 16 Apr 2012

This rucksack was purchased for my daughter for DofE Gold Award and is very flexible indeed. She being of only small stature, the rucksacks' adjustments were such that it could easily accommodate her build, as well as it might a more taller and broader person. Its design enabled the all important correct fitting so she could concentrate on the job in hand whilst the weight distribution didn't compromise her posture or unduly affect her performance. Some good concepts with easy stash areas close to hand. The rain hood was very effective though the rain can penetrate down the back between the sac and the wearer with a heavy deluge, but we've yet to see a sac that this doesn't apply to and the answer to this is a waterproof liner. Thoroughly recommend this rucksack and award 4/5 only on the basis that 5 star awards have to be very very special indeed.
