Despite 5 hours of torrential rain at wind speeds of 40 to 50 mph these trousers kept me dry, whilst others in the group were soaked to the skin. I have also worn them as a precaution when it was warmer and not raining. True to the description I still stayed dry due to their breathablity.

These are very lightweight, compressible and thin but surprisingly tough, breathable and waterproof trousers. I relied on the Regatta "plastic bag' trousers (as everyone does!) up until I bought these and how breathable they are is hard to believe. I've worn them for a full day of hard and fast hiking with a 10kg+ rucksack and remained bone dry and you can't ask for better than that!
