Its good, easy to apply. One downside is the tip wears out quickly but use your fingers as it's better i think. Used this many times without bother.

After my gortex trainers became about as water resistant as my slippers I used this product without the recommended pre treatment (NikWax cleaning gel) so I probably won't have as long a lasting result? I just washed my trainers thoroughly with water.


It was straightforward to use and I am very happy with the results- my trainers are like new: waterproof and breathable. Definitely value for money after investing in waterproof footwear!

This now comes in a squeeze-out tube which keeps the product fresher for longer and is definitely better than the last tin I had. This lasted for ages, and I expect this will too. At this price you can't beat it.

If you are asking yourself "do i need water proofer if just bought a waterproof shoes?"-the answer is YES! when used with Nikwax cleaning gel extends lifetime of your footwear, giving you 100% sure that it's waterproof and breathable. Highly recommended to keep your footwear clean!

I have been using this product for well over a year now, and it certainly does exactly what it says it will do, providing 'maximum and long-lasting waterproofing' and 'maintaining support and breathbility'! My daughter has participated in 'Ten Tors' (a moorland walking event), for two years in a row now, and often uses this product on her walking boots due to its excellent quality and reliabilty. I reccommend 'Nikwax Fabric and Leather Proofer' highly. I would also like to add that the customer services at Cotswold are particulary good, and provide a fantastic service! :)
