Excellent and long lasting Reviewed By Phil, 30 Nov 2012

I bought my first Ortileb map case back in 2001 as I started training to walk from JOG to Lands End - I'm still using it today (2012). Since then I have bought 2 more, 1 A4 and another for OS sized maps (because I waylaid the other one then found it again). It's so good you can even use it as a makeshift pillow when camping - When asked about map cases it's the one I always recommend.

The best on the market Reviewed By Brian, 23 Oct 2012

Having tried others this does what it says on the packet. I have used one over the last 6 years and it has been superb. On a scout night hike in the rain last weekend it kept the map dry whereas others failed. I will buy more for the scouts!

Superb Reviewed By Matthew, 01 May 2012

Having had a few map cases over the years now there is only one choice which Ortleib to go for. In the end I have 4 of different sizes and are great. Clear, foldable, lightweight, strong, durable. In the end value for money. I have had one of the cases for about 10 years now and being used for purpose looks like it will last forever.
A great piece of kit that I can recommend wholeheartedly.

Best mapcase on the market Reviewed By Samuel, 27 Dec 2011

In answer to the other review I've had my map case for a year now and it has done sterling service in all weathers.

The plastic is supple enough to be folded for ease of use/storage but surprisingly robust and hard wearing. With other mapcases I've owned and used the edges would split or the closure system would fail. But my map case is showing no signs of wear and still keeps my maps dry and in one piece.

The only downside is the price but compared with other map cases on the market it's worth it.

Good product, I am buying my second one! Reviewed By Philip, 27 Dec 2011

This map case has worked really well for many years, for hiking & snowshoeing. A quality and durable pouch for maps & guides.

Map case??? Reviewed By Julia Anne, 12 Dec 2011

Just received the map case. I am shocked to have paid £17.50 for such a flimsy piece of plastic. It's a Christmas present and I hope it lasts more than 1 walk but I very much doubt it as it doesn't seem very strong at all. Very disappointed, I might still decide to return it.
