Fantastic Rucksack Reviewed By Michelle , 29 Jan 2013

I have spent many hours researching for a daysack. I have a big pack for overnight and wanted a daysack for one dayers and treks where the main luggage is taken for you. I am a 5'10 female and spent ages looking at Women's fit rucksacks, even purchased one.. only to find even in L or XL back lengths they were too short for me. So I tried on lots in two different stores and the 'L' Stratos is a perfect fit, instantly comfortable, the weight feels like it is going through your hips evenly and not through your shoulders (I have had previous shoulder op so thats good.) the weight feels nicely distributed. I particularly wanted a top loader which is hard to find in this size but that has it!!.. 2 zips and plenty of room for your essentials. They are pricey but that is why it was important to choose the right one and not be at risk of buying another in a couple of years. So far I am very impressed

A truly awesome all round rucksack! Reviewed By Martin, 21 Dec 2012

Purchasing online gave us the choice of colour we wanted, specifically the blue that is generally available in store! From the second we got this rucksack we could see why Osprey continue to remain the market leader for walking rucksacks. Superb quality and the fit for both my girlfriend and I is faultless.
Pros:
Great fitting with mesh frame
Superb quality
Radical colours
Decent size

Cons:
None really apart from the straps on the waist belt lack some form of restraint and can get in the way. We generally tuck them in the handy food/accessories pouches on the waist band.

Excellent all round rucksack Reviewed By Jonathan, 26 Sep 2012

I tried on numerous rucksacks at the Belfast store and with some great advice from a very friendly member of staff, decided on this as the best fit.

I have used it for a few overnight hikes and managed to fit a Force 10 Hellium 100 tent, Therm-a-rest Prolite regular mat, Vango Venom 150 sleeping bag, Jetboil Sol, 2L Osprey water bladder, wetproofs, food and a few survival bits and bobs into this little gem!

It fits like a glove (thanks again to the staff for advice!) and even while scaling small mountains I never felt like the bag was cutting into me or moving about as I have experienced with other rucksacks.

The tiny bit of extra weight is deffinitely outweighed by the comfort of the bag and the included rain cover does its job for sure ;).

Oh and don't forget, Osprey bags come with a lifetime guarantee, not that the bag has shown any sign of wear after shed loads of abuse, it's still very reassuring!

Brilliant bag Reviewed By James, 12 May 2012

I bought this bag as a day sack for when I go to Borneo this summer. The back air-flow system is such a good idea and was the main reason I bought it. The bag fits perfectly, and I've used it for walks, bike rides, and school. It is fairly pricey but it is honestly so good.

most comfortable rucksack ever Reviewed By clare, 02 May 2012

i spent a considerable amount of time in cotswold (maidstone) trying different rucksacks on and knew as soon as i tried this bag on this was the one for me. I would advise getting measured and the staff are very helpful with information of how a rucksack should fit. i did initially just try on the girls rucksacks (being a girl) but found they didnt fit how they should (70% of the weight should be carried by your hips) but as soon as i tried this bag on it was without doubt the best by far. i did try on other brands and models but found that for the price you pay you get one great bag, it comes with a rain cover (so your saving money as you dont need to buy a separate one) and the extras on the bag are great - even a whistle!

Most comfortable rucksack Reviewed By Andrew, 30 Apr 2012

I am 6ft2in and the large version is comfortable like no other bag I've owned, easy to adjust, light and yet to let me down whilst scrambling or in wet weather. Pricey yes, but I reckon the quality is worth it.

Top quality rucksack Reviewed By Andrew, 30 Apr 2012

I spent a long time researching my options as being 6ft2in my previous rucksack was never that comfortable. I ordered the large size Stratos and have been thoroughly pleased with my choice. Extremely comfortable over a full days walking/scrambling and yet to let me down in any way. A bit pricey but a quality product with plenty of features.
