Trustee companion Reviewed By Chris, 18 May 2013

I have had this for a few years and it's still going strong. Always in my bag when I go away. I use it for charging my phone at night time for the next day when camping.
It charges most things you need when camping except most camera's but mostly use my phone anyway.
It's easy to hang of a tent or bag to charge up during the day but does need to be in direct sunlight so if leaving it somewhere you need to place it where the sun will be mid day for best results.
I have used it as a backup battery on long flights for my ipod which worked well and had the connections and power to charge other people's devices.
In summary a good bit of kit for anyone who doesn't want to worry weather there going to run out of charge. It's been on every trip I've been on since I got it.

An essential for expeditions Reviewed By Adrian, 10 Apr 2012

Bought this before a one month expedition to the jungle in Belize. It works a treat and is surprisingly efficient given how small it is and seems to be water resistant.
The solar panel charges the battery you can see in the picture, this is then what charges your various electronics. The Powermonkey comes with so many adaptors that everything is covered (including everyone else's devices, so keep it to yourself).
Although I was slightly paranoid about it getting damaged by water, it held up well against rain although some condensation appeared on the inside of the panels.
Overall, good buy and would recommend.

really compact, gives a lot of power and it doesn't need to be blazing sunshine, always keeps the music going, or phone in emergencies.
