Brilliant lightweight piece of kit Reviewed By G, 13 Mar 2013

Really great lightweight stove. Easy to screw onto a gas cannister. Makes the Caldera Cone superfluous;gas is much lighter than carrying meths around, and much less likely to contaminate your clothing. If meths leaks in your rucksack, you might as well throw it away (I suppose if the gas ignites in your rucksack, I'd also suggest throwing the rucksack away...) It's also much easier to control the heat than on a meths stove, so it won't curdle your Bearnaise Sauce or any of the other ludicrous jus that Heston Blumenthal's alleged new book "Haute Cuisine for the Haute Route" suggests. I'd buy the feet which attach to the gas cartridge for extra stability; when you've got a litre pot of boiling water on top of the stove resting on grass, it can be a bit shaky. If your always using a table, don't bother getting the feet;spend the money on a nice sauce boat instead. Secondly, get a lighter to ignite the gas; much easier than a match. Other than that, it's completely brilliant. Compact, light and recommended by Michelin starred mountaineers.

Small AND powerful Reviewed By Simon, 18 Aug 2011

I needed a small stove that packs easily and this does the job! The stove safely detaches from the gas canister and packs into its own tiny bag, it's perfect for backpacking. I used Primus gas with the stove and it performed very well, I was actually surprised just how powerful it was.

Light and powerful Reviewed By , 23 Jun 2011

Going on a tent trip with a gas stove last year I needed something light. I was worried that maybe they will not have cartridges with the right type of opening where I was going, but no problem whatsoever.

The stove is tiny and fits great into the little bag thingy they provided it with. It's really tiny. At the same time - when it's unfolded it provides ample space to put a 1.5 l pan on it. At the beginning I was afraid it would be unstable, but it was much better than I expected.

The burner is quite powerful for such a small device. Water heats up pretty quickly and the piezo lighter works every time. I used it for 2 weeks straight and it never failed. The size-power ration is amazing and I am now sure that this is the perfect choice for a small group or a couple. I don't think I'd go for anything bigger unless I had to cater for a really large group of people.

Fantastic choice!

Excellent small camping stove Reviewed By Sue, 21 Apr 2011

I converted to gas from my meths Trangia about 6 months ago and love this stove. Its light weight, compact and easy to use. Just need to get more confident about how much gas to take.
