I'm not really sure when you'd wear this jacket? Reviewed By Martin, 21 Dec 2012

I reserved this item on 'click & collect' however I did not commit to purchasing this item for the following reasons.
Although it is well made as you would expect from Rab and is probably well priced at £60 it lacked any form of colour of hints of which is disappointing. The collar is nice and high which will keep out the draugths and the fleece pile is thick but the lined sleeves which allow you to wear a jumper underneath felt very cold and not pleasant. For some reason the black colour looked washes out and as if the jacket was already several years old which isn't ideal if the that's not the look you're after on new Rab jacket!
If you doubt, go and try one on and see for yourself.
Sizing was I'm generally a medium build (173 cms tall) and a medium was the best suit as the small I tried on would not allow me to wear this as a jacket as you'd struggle to get anything like a jumper underneath.

Here's one for you Reviewed By , 11 Dec 2012

So, you've just finished a walk/run/race and you are starting to cool down, or even chill. You need to get this jacket on to keep you toasty warm. Out and about on cold days this is an excellent jacket and really it is too warm for long walks. Yes, this is the one.

A great buy for the price Reviewed By Simon, 09 Feb 2012

I have owned a Double Pile jacket for about 3 years now. It's not a technical jacket as it's quite bulky, but it keeps you warm when out and about in cold weather. The wind proof lining in the front panels and arms, and the high neck collar with drawcords are a bonus when walking into a cold wind. The berber pile is good if caught in a shower as you can shake the water off like a big shaggy bear, but it is not designed to be waterproof. A well made jacket for general outdoor use.

This jacket is "The Business" Reviewed By John, 17 Nov 2011

I recently purchased the double pile jacket after starting to feel the cold a bit. This is an extremely comfortable and warm jacket. I work as an enquiry officer and work in all weather conditions, so the jacket definately assists in keeping me warm in difficult conditions.Recommend you buy one size bigger than you may normally purchase as it slghtly smaller made, still an excellent jacket.

Good everyday urban jacket Reviewed By Rachel, 31 May 2011

Visually, this is a good looking fleece but in reality it is more of an everday fleece than mountainware. With a good jumper underneath it works really well, keeping you warm. You would struggle to put an activity waterproof jacket over the top, as would be too bulky. For normal, everyday use it performs well and looks impressive.
