The Women's Microlight Alpine is a lightweight down jacket for all round outdoor use. This is a fantastic piece for normal UK winters - warm enough for most days whilst slimline enough to pop your waterproof jacket over the top for an unexpected shower. The goose down fill offers incredible warmth to weight and means that the whole jacket easily compresses into its own chest pocket! This means there's no excuses for not taking this guaranteed warm layer everywhere with you! Ideal as a light belay jacket for Alpine climbing, for mountain marathon use or just for the daily winter commute - the Microlight Alpine is a versatile layer with a great women's specific fit.

Perfect climbing partner Reviewed By Tosca, 31 Jan 2013

Wore this on a 14-hour epic climb in Torridon in November - it kept me cosy but not too hot on the approach, layered well under my waterproof jacket for the climb, and kept me from hypothermia while waiting an hour on a belay ledge. It has since been up the Ben with me and I can forsee many more happy climbing trips together. Absolutely delighted with this.

Super warm and stylish Reviewed By Claire, 30 Dec 2012

I'm always so cold in the winter and fed up of being bogged down by heavy jackets- this jacket is revolutionary! So warm but so light! I think it has a great fit for woman and it's not too short on the body as many other brands seem to be.
It can even be packed into its own pocket and put in my handbag.
The only downside is the lack of waterproofing, but if you have a waterproof shell it's not too bulky to fit underneath.
Highly recommended!

very stylish but too light for me Reviewed By Eve, 20 Nov 2012

I bought this jacket to take to Nepal with me, and although it looks very smart it just was not warm enough. Rather disappointing.

Great jacket worth the money, stood well around the coast of donegal with the horizontal rain conditions, kept me dry and warm and stores away well when not in use and looks good out shopping too!!

Lightweight yet very warm. Reviewed By Carl, 30 Dec 2011

A slim-fitting size 10 bought as a gift for "the Boss" which only really allows for thin layers below; however given the warmth of the jacket this is spot on. Quality zips, lifetime guarentee - Rab rules. The Boss is very happy!
