I started indoor climbing about a year ago, and didn't want to spend too much money, so I got these shoes. They've been great, pretty comfortable for climbing for an extended period of time both indoor and outdoor

As someone in a previous review has said, go to the nearest shop and try them on. This is so important for finding a pair of climbing shoes that offer the right combination of comfort and support, not to mention getting the perfect size for your feet. I've just started climbing so I was looking for something which was snug and supporting but also comfortable enough for my feet to still feel fine after an afternoon's climbing at the local indoor centre. I noticed that a previous reviewer said they'd bought a size bigger than their normal shoe size but before I bought these shoes I was asking for advice from staff at the local climbing centre and one of them said that his climbing shoes are 4 sizes smaller than his normal shoe size! As it happens, my normal shoe size is UK7.5 and these climbing shoes are also a 7.5 and feel good. I could probably have squeezed into a size 7 but didn't think I needed to punish my feet this early into my climbing career as i'm not doing anything too technical. All in all i'm really happy with these and look forward to many hours of comfortable climbing.

I am new to climbing, and after renting shoes from my local climbing gym I knew that I would not put up with the smell for long. I am a member of my university mountaineering club and they recommended I check out Cotswold. I went to their Angel, Islington location and got to try on a lot of different shoes. These ones fit perfectly. They hugged every angle of my foot (which are quite wide) and the tightness is very comforting. I can wear these for hours and not get too fatigued. Highly recommended for beginners.

Word of advice for beginners: do not buy shoes online. Go into the store and try them on. They even have holds in store for your to test the shoes out with.

i like this shoe it is soo versitile with a pointed shoe box for those small cracks and its stiff mid-sole offers excellent support, what a great shoe and the tabs on the back make this shoe a breeze to put on and off

These shoes are great climbing shoes for a beginner. Following the manufacturers instructions I purchased 1 full size bigger than my normal size and find them extremely comfortable, although they do need a session or two for wearing in, just like any other shoe. The price is fantastic and the design is brilliant. The rubber is not too sticky but gives sufficient grip for those beginners who drag themselves up the wall! I ordered 2 pairs for me and my sister and both came well packaged with great correspondence between myself and cotswold outdoor. All round great shoe
