Scarpa Womens Terra GTX Boot

Having worn my new boots around the house for a few days without any problems, then it was off for a fairly short 10 mile hike, the boots were very comfortable and lightweight and best of all kept my feet dry, unlike previous boots, I would recommend these boots without a second thought.

I bought these boots to replace a pair I have had for years and thought I would have to spend time wearing them in However,to my delight they are so comfortable they feel like my old boots and have not required any wearing in.I had no blisters and would certainly reccommend them as a good buy.

I have purchased Scarpa boots for many years, and was very satisfied with them until a few years ago. I had never had problems with leaking boots, the Goretex lining still keeping my feet dry when the leather uppers cracked. But last year on a pair of new boots I had problems with leaking, took them back, had them replaced by Scarpa, but the replacements also leak. They are fine when it's dry, but walking on wet grass or slushy snow they leak badly - not just dampness. I could wring my socks out last week in slushy snow, and had a most unpleasant walk as a result, resorting to plastic bags over my socks the next day. I will never by Scarpa boots again. I also have some Ranger boots and have the same leaking problem with them

Recommended to me by a friend who walks a lot and has previously had two pairs, my husband recently bought a pair and loves them, my brother has bought a pair, so I thought I'd give them a go. Haven't walked any distance yet, but they seem very comfortable & well-made. Service at the Wychbold store was excellent, they took lots of time to help me try different sizes, also with insoles. Looking forward to many happy trouble-free miles.

Absolutely fantastic boot, couldn't recommend it more! Since I bought my pair they have seen all sorts of terrain and have treated me well, especially on long distance treks keeping my feet comfortable and warm, and more importantly dry !

I bought these just before new year in preparation for our trip to the Atlas mountains in May, well there no need as they didn't need wearing in at all they fitted like a glove from day one. I have been wearing them regularly as they are so comfy, they have been out in the recent rain and snow and worked a treat warm and dry, great product.

When I bought these boots I had them fitted correctly, I wore them round the house for a few hours to get used to them, then I did a five+ mile walk on three consecutive days, we hit rain snow and mud, so they got a bit of a beating, and what a boot,so comfy, no blisters, my feet stayed warm and dry, really pleased with them, I would say that they were made to last, a brilliant boot, would definately recommend, well, actually I have, and two of my friends have purchased them and are really pleased, better than buying cheap ones every couple of months, I don't feel as though I have waisted my money this time.

after looking in a few shops for new walking boots i was really impressed with the service in cotswold belfast. the staff were helpful and gave advice on which boots to try after measuring my feet and discussing what i wanted to use the boots for. good selection and these boots were comfy from the outset. got to walk around a lot in store and also at home and still comfortable. really happy and looking forward to trying them out in the mountains this weekend.

My partner bought these. I've had 3 pairs of Scarpa boots over the last 30 years and crrently have a pair of SL M3s. So I thought they'd be a good buy, long lasting and well made, sadly this was not the case. The Vibram sole wore through in last than a years very light use, although the upper is still in good condition a sole which is made up of a very soft rubber 1mm thick on a foam core that has worn out with only light occasional use is appalling in a boot costing £100.

I have walked miles in these boots,and have just spent 7days trekking up Kilimanjaro and have not once had wet,cold, sore or blistered feet-these are possibly the best boots I've ever had and reasonably priced.

After my last boots failed horribly during a rather wet week in Snowdonia (resulting in soggy feet for most of the time!) I decided that I needed to get some boots that would have all-round performance and comfort no matter what the weather. I can say with confidence that I have found them! Despite being leather (which I normally characterise as being very heavy) they are easily the most comfortable boots I have ever used. I did balk at the price but they are worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Bought to replace the Scarpa boots I have had for about 10 years. As good as the last pair and what's more, cotswold price matched without any quibble: they almost thanked me for pointing out the price difference! Knowledgeable staff who seemed in no hurry to push me into purchasing the boots: the assistant seemed almost more concerned than I was that I got the right boots.She made it a pleasure to give them the money to pay for the boots. A good experience all round.

I'm going to look after these boots. They were instantly comfortable and have been tried and tested in very wet conditions. Assistant that helped me chose these was knowledgable and very patient with me - fantastic purchase.

Just getting back into walking after a few years off, I won't even need to break these in the leather is so soft. The quality is very good and I hope to get many miles out of them. Thanks to the sales person for showing me the best way to tie the laces.

For a first pair of walking boots these are so comfortable, I have been in all weathers in them and they have excelled every time in keeping my feet warm and dry.

Scarpa Terra GTX boots are made from very soft leather which means I was able to wear these for their first 8 mile walk on undulating paths through the Derbyshire contryside without any wearing in. The fit was perfect and I was able to negotiate mud and boggy conditions without fear of getting my feet wet. The boots are high cut providing excellent support for the ankles which is a must to avoid injury to the ankles and although I found this felt a little restrictive at first put it down to the fact that my last boots were not high cut. All in all well worth the price .

I have had trouble with heel blisters for years, to the point where I just expected a painful second half to every long walk. Well not any more! I was recommended these at the Maidstone store and fitted for them properly and I haven't had a blister since, even after doing a 60k walk of the south downs in one day! I would recommend these very strongly indeed.

After being recommended to the Nottingham store, I am a very happy lady! After having my feet measured, and explaining what I needed, I was given a variety of boots to try on.. These boots fit like a glove & are as comfy as slippers! Well worth every penny!

I took my daughter into the Bakewell store and Paul measured her feet, and talked to us about what she would be wearing the boots for, before recommending a pair for her foot size and intended usage. He also showed her a way to lace them up to increase comfort and support. She spent a while walking around the shop in both the Gortex and the Leather versions before settling on the leathers, declaring them to be the most comfortable footwear she has ever worn! So much so that she kept them on to walk home! They look beautifully made and I'm sure will last her for years! I was very pleased with the service and the product knowledge and the time spent to ensure the size and fit were perfect - Thanks to Paul.

Having had achilles tendon problems for a few years, i bought these and went straight off on a walking holiday in Cornwall - they are the most brilliantly comfortable boots I have ever had. My tendon has given me no problems at all. My feet are instantly comfortable and I can walk for hours and hours and hours.

I came to these Scarpa boots after many years of uncomfortable walking with many blisters to tell the tale. Within Cotswold store, Nottingham, I found excellent service and, after a few hours of measuring and trying on a range of boots, settled on these. I tried them at home before definitely settling on them. From the word go they have been superb. A bit of bruising round the top on one leg after the first walk but nothing since. They feel comfortable and secure and I now know what walking can be like when there are no problems with feet. I wish I had taken the plunge years ago!

No breaking in required and very comfortable, these boots also look smart enough to wear out in the pub or on the hill. ‘Unchunky’ ladylike boots, Would recommend to anyone.

i purchased these boots for my silver DofE expedition and have been nothing but pleased. they felt comfortable from the outset and just got better as i walked them in. i didn't get blisters, much to the envy of the rest of my DofE group! and as someone who suffers from quite weak ankles they offered adequate support. these boots combined with the miraculous superfeet insoles are perfect for hill walking, i was in the peak district. they will last me for ever, very pleased. also the customer service was great, i really felt like the assistant new his stuff and he had all the time in the world to find me the best possible boots.

These boots have proved themselves as a very worthwhile purchase. I have walked about 30 miles in these altogether in the last 11 days and they have been supportive and incredibly comfy throughout. I sometimes struggle to find the right tightness but it is just about getting used to the boots. I would recommend these boots to any walkers, beginners to advanced. I also brought superfeet insoles to put inside them which makes them even more supportive. They are so comfy and supportive that I miss them when I am not wearing them :) They also look great!

I used these for a 15mile walk and so far they have been amazing,its only the second time I have worn them and so comfy.

These boots were comfortable straight away. Unfortunately after wearing them on four walks (approx 8 miles each walk) the top layer of the insole started to peel away. Cotswold willingly replaced the boots and so far so good. Such a comfortable boot that I wanted to give them a second chance!
