A rigid ring within the rim keeps this mug stable when filled. When the collapsible walls are folded down it takes up very little room in your rucksack, yet it can hold almost half a litre of hot or cold liquids.

Genius. Reviewed By Alex, 07 Apr 2012

These fit inside most solo cooksets along with a gas cartridge, making them a great wild camping addition without taking up any space in your pack. They insulate quite well and, unlike the cup version, have a good volume.

Another interesting bonus! Reviewed By Toby, 02 Dec 2011

I have to agree with all the other writers here. it is a fantastic invention. What really pleased me is that dried soups also fully dissolve in the cup, just massage the bottom and no more gunge left.

must buy as perfect for all outdoor use Reviewed By graham, 10 Oct 2011

Easy to use, very sturdy and stable when either empty/full, the black ring at the top is easy to hold when hot liquids inside and it is also perfect for a good breakfast size portion of porridge, we all know porridge is sticky stuff but cleaning this product is so easy, to top it off the colours are great and its so lightweight and thin i'd take it on day hikes or if camping for weeks, this mug when flat sits inside the bowl which also then sits inside the plate, a great set of items, the mug has internal measurements to aid cooking recipes, dishwasher safe, temperature range -40 to +180 degrees, so will make a stew in future freeze it into the mug, take out of the freezer in the morning and let it defrost during the day and can easily pour into cooking pot later, more space saving

Great invention for travelling Reviewed By Alex, 10 Sep 2011

This amazing mug saves space and weight in your rucksack. It is also very tough and sturdy which I thought might let it down when I bought it, but it has proven me wrong. It has handy measurements on the inside which allow you to get accurate amounts of water when cooking. I would strongly recommend getting this product for treking and hiking.

Oddly, this really does work Reviewed By Satu, 29 Aug 2011

Spacious and surprisingly sturdy mug which handily doubles as a bowl if necessary. Folds into an almost flat disk, yet stands up without collapsing when in use. The more solid black ring at the top can be used to hold it when full of hot liquids. Great purchase - will definitely go and get the bowl too!

Quality Camping Accessory Reviewed By , 23 Jun 2011

I purchased the Sea to Summit X-Mug with its sister product the X-Bowl, I was extremely pleased with both of the items ... especially this one.

It folds down into a compact, light disc shaped item ... which is perfect for backpackers, who need to keep the weight of their pack down to a minimun, whilst taking items such as mugs etc with them.

Only problem with this item is that because of the material of the item (a thin plastic) the liquid inside, when hot, can cause you to get very hot hands !!!

Will be recommending this to the Duke of Edinburgh Awards students that I assist leading.
