I theory, they are perfect for me. Not too warm, fully waterproof, thin gloves. In practice that is not the case.

I bought mine to end up cold and soaked through when the weather really turned. When I mentioned this in passing to a member of staff in the Belfast City store, he offered to replace them, so fair enough on that front.

However, before I realised that they weren't up to the task I had bought the other half a pair and unfortunately hers suffered the same fate, plus the inner lining of hers came undone (in the space of about 5 relatively short hikes... and yes they did fit properly!)

All in all not impressed. I've opted for some different gloves instead.

Just bought these gloves and used them for the first time on Ben Challum at the weekend. My hands were cold before I put them on but they soon warmed up and kept dry in the snow.

Brilliant all rounder, lightweight and just as good in cold or windy conditions as bulkier counterparts. It's also showerproof, A+ my advice though is put them on indoors before you go out so as to trap the warm air inside otherwise they take a little while to warm your hands if you have poor circulation.

I have found these gloves to be extremely comfortable for all round use. They are tailored to fit snugly so I am happy to wear them more often than most. The price for them not being bulky is that in the very coldest of weather they are not quite as warm as some gloves I have.

Bought a pair of these about a year ago and they have held up admirably. They have kept my hands and more importantly fingers dry and warm. Pretty dexterous too. Impressed, would buy another when these wear through.

Neither warm nor waterproof, these were quickly relegated to the “just in case” gear mouldering in the bottom of my summer hill bag. Not recommended.
