The ergonomic headset with an extra wide, anti-slip elastic headband remains comfortably in place when running on bumpy ground. The two AA battery-pack is lightweight enough to fit on the headband; combined with the minimal lamp weight it’s perfect for training. I purchased this head torch for my wife for running.
funny though i have been using it more as i am part of the Dartmoor search and rescue, and the lighting on this is great, we do training on wednesday evenings, all in the dark and the selection of lighting you have from the lowest to be able to read a map to the brightest, giving you good view of the ground at night, plus the distance is great, viewing the features in the dark, giving you an advantage as the directional beam you get, well i think i am going to have to buy one for myself, great product.

The Silva trail runner headtorch is light and comfortable. The extra wide band keeps it in place with no bounce and hasn't the over the head extra strap. The controls are simple and useable with gloves. Although the light is adequate the long range beam is slightly disappointing. The price was good until I searched on the internet.
