The North Face Men’s Chromium Jacket is an all-around windproof mountain jacket for epic snowsport and climbing adventures.


This softshell jacket is made with Apex ClimateBlock fabric with a soft fleece interior for improved wind protection, warmth and comfort. The exterior is not only fully windproof and water resistant, but it also allows a comfortable level of breathability.


The Chromium Jacket features two hand pockets for essentials and to keep the chill away from your fingers. A brushed collar lining and non-abrasive adjustable cuffs reduces chaffing and the hem cinch cord allows a snug fit to reduce draughts.

So I bought this after humming and hawing over this jacket or the apex bionic, which is basically the same jacket minus the fleece interior.

I made the decision to get this one after trying both on and taking into account that I was going to be outside cycling a lot (it's how I get to work) this winter and needed something that would be versatile enough to allow me to ride to work, but also look stylish when I got there. This jacket does the trick marvellously.

One thing I have noticed was that, on warm days, the jacket doesn't ever feel uncomfortably warm. This is probably because it's developed to allow my sweat out.

It also keeps me dry - I've been caught in the odd downpour and so-far-so-good, I've always remained dry.

So no faults here. Yes, it's pricey at 140 pounds, but it isn't a jacket you'll have to replace anytime soon. You'll be comfortable wearing it to work or going out on the weekend. Great all around!

This jacket was a purches worth making, one of the better soft shell jackets available at an affordable price. Good flexibility wether doing some bouldering or mountin biking. Very breathable material plus it impressed with its wind stoping ability everything you need in a jacket that goes anywhere excellent product

This lightweight jacket looks just as good worn as casual clothing in town as it does out in the countryside. It is extremely windproof and warm and keeps out all but a torrential downpour. I like the deep inside pockets and the high zip up collar.Definitely a recommended buy.
