The North Face Men’s Evolution Triclimate Jacket is a 3-in-1 shell jacket/fleece combination, offering great all-season versatility.

The HyVent waterproof and breathable outer is twinned with a removable, soft fleece inner jacket. On its own, the shell provides excellent weather proofing in milder temperatures, and the fleece is great for cooler, calmer days. Combined, the two layers provide a third option: optimal warmth and protection from the wet. The easily adjustable hood combines with a soft brushed collar lining to keep you warm, keep you dry, keep you comfortable and keep you outside!

THE GOOD POINTS:
* Comfortable - good fit, not too bulky or constricting and not too heavy. It's possible to drive when wearing it.
* Good attachment system - this is a 3-in-1 coat so the fleece inner is removable. I've had problems with such coats in the past but The North face has come up with a good attachment system and I've had no problems this time; the fleece does not bunch up or get caught.
* It's very warm - I've been out in -2c with just a t-shirt and light cotton jumper underneath with no problems.
* It's good in the wind, rain and snow - the wind is kept at bay and I have stayed bone dry in the rain.
* The underarm vents are surprisingly useful; it's nice to have access to some cooling air when working up a bit of a sweat !

I bought this jacket and i am so happy with it. it is cosy and keeps me warm no matter the weather conditions. I absolutely love the 3 in 1 action it has. It is the best jacket I have ever had and i am so happy with myu purchase. Money well spent!!

I brought this jacket in my local store (Preston, Lancashire) The service i received was excellent!

The jacket is great, has kept me warm in the snow we got recently, the only issue I have is the loop to have the jacket up is very thin and the jacket, although quite light does make me think that it may snap, but up to now its been ok.

I would highly recommend this jacket and Cotswold for their A+ service.

I bought this jacket to replace an old Tog 24 which was well past its sell by date. Preferred this to the on with the padded interior. this has a detachable fleece lining and is compltely waterproof. fitted like a glove and keeps me really warm and dry. looks really good in the office, beach or on the hills. Really happy with both the staff (instore purchase) and the product.

I've owned my The North Face Triclimate for nearly 4 years now and I'm only now considering a replacement purely as I fancy a change in colour. The jacket has/is serving me well and even after being washed with NikWax it still comes up like new. It's stood up to the challenge of conventional use in the UK, walking in the Falkland Islands and numerous skiing trips to Europe. A bargain at £150 and easily on par with jackets costing much more!

Very good piece of clothing. You can use it all year around. All together is warm enought for a cold winter and the otside jacket is cold enought for a hot rainy summer.

I brought this jacket a few years ago, and now I do not leave the house without it. It's extreme light weight makes it perfect from everyday use, to the scottish highlands expedition mountain walking. The jacket gives you great flexibility (useful when climbing and scrambling). The outer fabric is very tough and in all the years I've had it I haven't had a single tare. It serves as a great wind protector swell. It is however quite pricey, but don't worry, it is definitely worth it! It was also great in the hills in Wales on my Silver DofE so any DofE customers I highly recommend this jacket! If I had a four and a half out of five option I would have ticked that, I just feel there are one or two improvements that could be made (including a price reduction) but apart from that all good! Also the removable fleece works great for a nice warm layer to ware at home.

I bought this in Aberdeen last Wednesday, my previous TNF beginning to show its age. The fit was wonderful, a feeling of being cocooned but with great freedom of movement. The elastic and Velcro cuffs fastening is far superior to Velcro alone and ensures a snug closure. The jacket came into its own the following day when, although it rained very heavily, I was perfectly dry as the rainwater beaded and was shed away as I walked. I'm a professional photographer and work is quite varied. One day I'm covering a business conference, the next I'm out on location outdoors with a sports event. So reliable and good looking clothes are a must. I've had this jacket a couple of years, and it's smart enough to wear over a suit, but at the same time weatherproof enough for those times waiting in the rain for the action to happen. Internal fleece means, I can cut down on weight this time of year, and re-fit it in Autumn as it starts to get cold. Recommended.

Great jacket at a really good price. Fits really well compared with similar style jackets from other manufacturers, and is surprisingly lightweight for the warmth it gives. Versatility is ideal for our weather - it's easy to slip off the outer shell and tie round your waist when the rain stops and it's warm enough to just wear the fleece. I'd thoroughly recommend this jacket to anyone.

Bought this on offer for £125 which is good value. It's a nice fit, size small. Plenty room to move the arms about. Warm but probably not for sub zero days- more autumn and spring weather. The black finish is good, yet to test in the rain.

Good quality jacket for cold wet days at a reasonable price (£50 off). A few extra pockets inside would have been good. Good hood that folds away nicely in the collar, little tags to keep the second layer sleeves in place (nice touch), and zips under the armpits were a pleasant surprise. Very pleased with purchase. Coming from a place that constantly rains this jacket couples great usability and is delivered at a superb affordable price. The Triclimate versatility of this jacket caters for all the elements of the upcoming winter and also could have uses for the the other season in the calender.
The only drawback that i can find with this jacket is the mesh netting that lines the pockets, as im fearful that these may tear if you get it snagged on an object if carrying in your pocket, such as keys or a keyring.

saw this online and popped to my local store (milton keynes) the staff were amazing and although they weren't aware of this they did some investigating and found it. the store had one in stock according to their system. the right size and colour but they didn;t know where it was. two members of staff searched for the jacket and finally found it. it fits superbly (rather generous cut) it is top quality for the really cheap price and so far have worn it on a chilly day and chilly night hike and it has performed superbly (was a little on the warm side) i'm so happy with this product and this is my first the north face product as i usually use berghaus products. i am now converted. the pockets are great but i suspect the net outer pockets may not take the abuse i will put it through. the fit is excellent. the quality is excellent 10/10 5 star product
