This HyVent® shell material is constructed to repel moisture and built to breathe, aided by rotated pit zip vents. The requirement for pockets is amply satisfied with those for media and goggles, plus internal and external zipped pockets just where you need them for easy access. I brought this in the green and think it is great. I purchased it to be a ski jacket to stand out on the slopes but also to be suitable to wear as a casual day to day jacket. It fits the bill perfectly. The hood doesn't detach so I was initially worried that the hood would get in the way with my helmet on but actually is just sort of folds its self over. Very happy.
