I originally bought a knee support from in store that was not hinged and did not contain the straps. I found this really uncomfortable to wear as it dug into the back of my knee and rubbed the skin on my leg and so I decided to swap it for this one. This was a lot better, it supported my knee and I soon forgot I was even wearing it.
I was suffering from a cartilage problem just before I had agreed to take part in the 3 peaks challenge and I'm glad I had this with me or I would have been suffering a lot more than I was!
The only downside to this product is the sizing. My wife also had one in the past that was size small/medium that she found to be too tight which was strange because my wife has quite skinny legs! Maybe see if you can fit one on in store first so you know you've got the correct size.
