An easy to pitch, 'as one' structure with a generous living area, this spacious, fully featured tent provides an ideal base for weekend camping adventures with the whole family. Sleeping up to five people, the Icarus provides the perfect balance of living and sleeping space for your family or camping group. As well as being a comfortable haven to return to after a day out, the Icarus 500 is also an extremely reliable shelter in bad weather, wind or rain, with a storm skirt system and sewn-in groundsheet providing protection from heavy downpours and Vango's Tension Band System which gives unrivalled stability in windy conditions.

On the first night at a camp site nr Ullswater this tent faced a tough test. Weather was horrendous! Hate to sound surprised as have not used a Vango tent before but the Icarus stood up to the wind and rain (it was 'proper' rain that came down in sheets)like a champion.
Only gripe was that in packing it away after hanging it out to air in the back garden, the groundsheet had a slight rip from rolling it up on gravel so perhaps they could make this a bit stronger but hey, this could easily have been my fault for not rolling it up on a softer surface.
All in all, a great buy for the money.

I bought this tent becuase our 2 teenagers needed more room when camping with my wife. The tent performed magnificently, especially after an afternoon of squally torential rain in the Chiltern Hills.The Icaruss 500 was stable and water proof.

We are couple and this was our first camping trip. Tent is amazing! Soo much space, we had bigger room for ourselves and smaller room could fit another 2 adults but we used it as spare room in which I could get change, hang our clothes. Tent has big porch, we had 2 high back chairs and table, stove, umbrellas could easily dry when open and there was plenty of space for our walking boots. We were really relaxed and comfortable, my boyfriend is very tall and he had no problems with standing up in the tent!!! We had privacy in buy camp site thanks to our amazing tent! Best camping buy ever!
