Anyone who has to walk on icy pavements is at risk of slipping and falling on ice. Yaktrax are the perfect gift for the keen jogger, commuter, outdoor workers, dog owners, the elderly and indeed anyone who has to or wants or needs to walk on icy pavements as easily as they would under normal conditions. Everyone on ice treads carefully but it isn't always enough. Accidents on ice & compact snow are common in winter and even the best winter boots or walking shoes need extra ice gripping power. Running and jogging shoes offer little grip on ice & compact snow but with Yaktrax Walker you carry on running or jogging in winter as you would the rest of the year.

Three countries in three years now - and still fab Reviewed By Matthew, 26 Jan 2013

For us, a few quid spent on these compared to a broken leg is a complete no-brainer. I have recently tried some cheaper stud types too (supplied through work) and didn’t like them - the wire on these are far more effective in ice and packed or loose snow. We’ve used YakTrax now in Prague (-7); Germany (-12) and here twice (2010 and this winter). Given they are three seasons old, I can't see any wear and they have been a dream to use. We have since bought them for friends and relatives and can't recommend them more highly. If these ever wear out I'd probably look at the Pro version, although the way these just flick on and off is perfect for when you walk into buildings.

Essential for Winter running Reviewed By Wendy, 23 Jan 2013

I bought a pair of these so I could still run outside even in the snow and ice. They do an amazing job and I have trained up to 13 miles in them without any issues. People marvel at how you can run past them whilst they can barely stay upright!

Wish I'd bought these earlier! Reviewed By Debra, 21 Jan 2013

These are really good - have not (yet!) slipped on the ice, and they don't look too geeky over my flat work shoes! Have been looking at them for ages, and wish I'd bought sooner rather than slither around. My husband bought a really cheap pair from another store which broke on their second use - these seem really well made and worth the extra.

keeps me on my toes Reviewed By Claire, 20 Jan 2013

On my way to work I helped to push a car stuck on ice I fell and hurt my pride, that evening I purchased a set of Yaktrax and wore them to walk to work the next day, amazing. I will buy some for my daughter who is a keen runner and very frustrated by the compacted snow. Simple idea but a well made, robust and very effective product

Just what I was looking for! Reviewed By Eileen, 08 Nov 2012

My 2 dogs don't understand the concept of ice and humans slipping on it, so these are perfect for those icy early morning and late nights walks that they love so much. So handy to put on and means I can wear boots and shoes that would normally be useless in icy weather.

YAKS are great Reviewed By Stuart, 06 Jul 2012

Such a simple idea, used them twice properly. The first experience I had with them was walking up to the saddle between Donard and Commeda in the Mourne Mountains. there had been heavy snow, and the steps on the way up from the valley to the wall was pure ice, lethal. threw on the yaktrax and couldn't believe the grip they gave to my boots, superb. The next experience i had was when we went skiing to livingio in italy, the main street was never salted, so was like an ice rink, used them pretty much everyday once we came of the slopes

Simple yet effective grip for all the family Reviewed By Steve, 31 Dec 2011

I was so impressed with my Yak Trax Pros, that I bought five pairs of the walkers for family members this Christmas. All were impressed with the simple yet effective solution to slipping all over the place in the snow and ice. Easy on and off any foot ware and no spikes so even kids can wear em.. Overall I would recommend purchasing these even if you only see snow on the odd occasion, better than a broken wrist :-)

Fantastic solution to slipping in icy conditions Reviewed By Grant, 23 Dec 2011

Yaktrax Walkers are a superb solution to the problem of maintaining stability, grip and confidence in icy conditions when it's not bad enough to need crampons. They're so lightwight that they're no problem to carry around in case you need them. Highly recommended.

I am hoping that these will prevent slips and accidents when we eventually get ice and snow in the southeast this winter. Bought now (November)to avoid shortages later on.

I bought a pair of these last year whilst in London during the blizzard and they were great! Easy to get on and off and helped me walk easily on the snow. I even managed to push someone's car wearing them!
