A light, minimalist, high performance shoe for racing and training, the Inov-8 Womens TrailRoc 236 deals brilliantly with dry and loose trails.
Triple-compound rubber on the sole to guarantee excellent grip, and impact protection from the sharp and the pointy combine with minimal cushioning and a heel/forefoot drop of just 3mm, to give a near-barefoot feel underfoot. Definitely not for beginners, on practiced feet working through the transition to barefoot running this allows loads of sensitivity and feedback, ideally suited to the loose, uneven terrain which the TrailRocs call home.
While not quite a true 'barefoot' shoe, the TrailRoc 236 is definitely well on the way towards the barefoot category of shoes. Barefoot running can be a great experience but, as with any new sport you try, it can take a bit of getting used to!
