Simplicity, reliability, low weight and high performance: what more could you want from a stove?!

JetBoil's Zip Personal Cooking System delivers incredibly efficient heat and ease of use. The burner attaches simply into the base of the cup, whose FluxRing heat exchanger then makes short work of boiling the cup's contents: just two and a half minutes to boil half a litre. The protective base can be used as a bowl (or measuring cup), so one Zip can be used for two peoples' lunch. Those with bigger appetites can expand the system with one of JetBoil's range of Companion Cups: the speed of cooking means the second cup will be done almost straight after the first.

A stabilising tripod keeps the whole assembly rock solid. Fuel cartridge not included.

Generally good but could be better
Reviewed By Richard, 12 Jan 2015

I bought this after seeing a review that it now comes with a pan stand so doesn't have to be used with the jetboil pot alone. Plus the weight is the same as my flask so was a no brainer to get this. However although in normal conditions this is amazing fast at boiling water intact it caught me out the first time it was so quick. Overall a great design although I have had to make a few mods to make it in my opinion better. The first is the on off dial is small a recessed which is hard to get to, one when wearing gloves and two when its boiling over because you didn't realise how awesome it is at boiler water FAST! To remedy this I cut a small piece of garden hose to attach to the dial so it extends out of the body of the stove for easy use and removal when not needed. The other is to insulate the gas can in minus conditions. It really struggled to boil in minus 5 out of the wind. So I now have an old tube of neoprene off an old wet suit ready to wrap around when out in cold conditions which work well. All in all a great light weight stove.

Simply the best!

There's something very comforting about knowing my Jetboil is is my pack. Especially in Winter it's so easy to rustle up something hot (normally Super Noodles for me!).

The Jetboil is so compact it takes very little room in my pack and is so efficient my water is always boiled way ahead of my fellow walkers so I'm enjoying my noodles while they are still cooking.

In my opinion it's a must have piece of kit to have in your pack!

Best things come in small packages!
Reviewed By Edward, 04 Aug 2013

It ticks all the boxes: small, light, heats contents very quickly, even when breezy, and packs away perfectly; which is very convenient.
The things it doesn't have, compared to the more expensive flash model, heat change indicator in the neoprene sleeve an piezo ignition, but are are nice to haves rather than must haves (I always have matches/fire steel as a a back up ignition source anyway). Smaller, lighter, cheaper and great value for money!
Used at the beach and festivals as well as mountains!

Perfect all rounder

Great for soups, boil in the bags and hot drinks. Nice and compact. Light in weight purchased for father so he can use at the allotment. Very happy with it and will hopefully keep him of the vino.

Amazing little stove.

This is an absolute winner, small and compact. Everything, including a small canister packs into a tiny cylinder.
Boils water super fast for a quick refreshing cup of tea on the mountain peak. Hot drinks for two or a meal for one is quick and no problem. Best small cooker I have aver used.

Market Leader
Reviewed By jonathan, 05 Jun 2012

This is the best stove on the market for weight durability and ability to cook food quickly.

In it's simplist form you can have a cuppa in a matter of minutes and it will cook a 'Ration Pack' style dinner in around 5. As a group leader I would always carry one as you can cook pasta and rice very quickly and get a hot meal into some one with little or no fuss.

Some say the only things that should go in is water, I say the have never been hungry!!!

My best bit of kit!

Versatile, reliable, compact - I can't recommend this product enough... and you don't even need a lighter or matches as it comes with an igniter. The triangular shaped foot plate in this updated design has sorted out the balance issues. I have used this for everything from winter mountaineering to heating baby food on a long walk. A must buy!
