An approach shoe in the classic mould, the LaSportiva Mens Boulder X Shoe is ideal for technical approaches, for easier routes, for via ferrata and for the walk-off.

Based on the shape of a technical rock boot - and with the patented all-round assymetric lacing system from the legendary LaSportiva Mythos climbing shoe - the Boulder X lives on feet which live on rock. Sticky rubber, a high rand, a precise fit, an Impact Brake System in the shock absorbing sole for a sure footed tread on the descent path: this is a shoe designed to be worn on the walk in, on the way up (or clipped to your harness when you don more technical shoes), and on the walk off.

Amazing shoe for both hiking and approach. I might even bring it in the climbing walls and swim in them :)

Not for hiking, not to wear them for more than 2 hours walks. A technical shoe for approaching the rock for climbing but unfortunately nobody told me that in Cotswold.

Ultra comfy sole and durable protective rand
Having to keep the suede in good condition is something I'm not looking forward to as I love the look of them
