Long zips giving good openings. 2 internal zipped pockets. Padded space for notebook - also good for paperwork.
Poor ventilation on back. No external map space.

Good schoolbag. Appears easy to use - good access for books, lots of space. Good compartments to keep pencil case in separate area, and small compartment for keys, bus pass, etc.
This may be unfair but fabric feels like it may struggle to make it through a whole school year of heavy use. However, I purchased it on offer, so I believe I got good value for money.
